AKCoop & Unreal

Post by Planetdune »

Hey all,

Im trying to get AKCoop2 to work to play the Unreal single player campaign again with a friend with a little bit more of a challenge :)

Mod found here:
http://www.angelfire.com/empire/napali/mods.html

However I just can't get it to work ... I have both Unreal Gold (226) and Unreal Tournament (446) which are the steam versions. I also use kentie's dx10 renderer on both.

Unreal Tournament
1. Downloaded the files and copied them in my game folder
2. Added the mod to my server packadges (UT.ini)
3. Boot UT but forgot what mod it was to play Unreal single player maps in UT... I used it long ago but forgot the name

Unreal
1. Downloaded the files and copied them in my game folder
2. Added the mod to my server packadges (Unreal.ini)
3. Typed in the console: "Switchlevel nyleve?Gametype=AKcoop2.AKcoopGame" and it loads nyleve but no trace of the mod....

for UT:
Oldskool

for Unreal:
Aside the suggestion to use 227 instead for better grafix support with the high res textures from www.unrealtexture.com which is really eyecandy especially for singleplay and more harder difficulty levels (and and and...), you should check the log for entries about the mod. It will probably tell you what and where it fails - check Unreal\System\ for most recent *.log file.
