What's this you may ask? A replacement GameEngine that blocks malicious commands that some douchebag admins may force you to use! It also blocks StatLogFile from writing
ANY files from your hard drive.
The protection granted by Aegis is unbypassable except by you when you know your own safe word! set your safeword to allow blocked commands that are normally legitimate to use such as Exit. The default safeword is "bypass1" so you would have to use "bypass1 exit" to exit. Be warned, you WILL be spammed to hell if you don't edit the default safe word like an idiot. It only takes like 15 seconds geez.
See the readme for details/installation & Public src version included for your viewing pleasure!

Oh yeah, you'll be kicked by unreal integrity unless the server has it whitelisted.

Why doesn't UnrealIntegrity have an online whitelist capability again?

Also, I'm totally willing to update this with new commands to block or features. I obviously don't know them all. PM or email me, or post here depending on security risk.

It does. It's under preferences -> network -> unreal integrity You add the packagename and CRC{ or MD5?} They're both listed in the readme.

I meant synchronising with an online server to pull in reported good packages.

Oh. Hmm. Well... smirf/tcp wolf would know that one. I don't know if they ever thought of that.

Update: JCoopz1's inventory travel between maps breaks with this.
Edit : Aegis 1.1 released, added 2 more blocking commands & a minor optimization. JCoopZ1 travel is NOT fixed, pending investigation.

I could compile it for gold, but it would require a hard coded SafeWord. Adding new variables is out of the question.. or at least I could make a proxy class to load it.. hey yeah!

So this is the new Nephthys?
Also, doesn't 227 already have a lot of security fixes by itself?

No, those are security enhancements for servers, this one is for clients. The former protects the server from clients, the latter protects the client from servers.

Looks like EDM also kicks you for having some blocked commands. Will look into this {and other DM gametypes}
edit: EDM still doesn't like me after unblocking what I consider to be legitimate to security commands.

I didn't do any testing but my initial assumption is that this is because you blocked the 'get' command. EDM does several checks on the client requiring 'get' that are not malicious - they are for detecting certain cheats. Not getting the expected return value results in a kick.
