OldUnreal (Engine)

Hi - i've modified a texture pack that it was called "ut2k4(FraGnBrag)" and renamed it to "Techsurf" Now when i launch Unreal i've got critical error like this:
"Failed to load 'Entry'. Can't find file for package "ut2k4(FraGnBrag)".
History: UGameEngine::Init >> I haven't found something with "ut2k4(FraGnBrag)" in my unreal.ini or unrealed.ini. :-/
And I've reinstalled patch 227 twice.

Looks like it can't find the package you've renamed. Try giving it its original name.

The question is why it's requiring it in the first place, I reckon.

Maybe you're launching Unreal with a map that requires this package - this might happen if you launch unreal from the Test button in UnrealEd.

Actually, doesn't the message mean that it requires the resource "Entry" from the package "ut2k4(FraGnBrag)", or does it mean that it's "Entry" that is requiring "ut2k4(FraGnBrag)"?

Replace your Entry.unr map file with the copy on the Unreal CD. You more than likely saved on the map when you worked with the "ut2k4(FraGnBrag)" package.

Way back in the day when you were on 28.8(or "56k" AOL) downloading 5mb it wasn't very fun to download for a few hours. Editing entry was probably not a bad idea then.

It doesn't cause version mismatches?

Entry is completely broken online most of the time

So I could use the awesome Entry from the Wheel of Time and it would work just fine online?

Entry is never loaded online unless some insane person puts it in server packages. So tl;dr yes for 99.99% of the time.

Although the rain and the drops that come from the roof of the ruins are animated (particles, actually), it has rain sounds and an occasional thunder with lightning. Plus there is a puddle of water big enough to swim in.

Quite nice indeed.
