It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

've got this same problem like with DM-UMS but now can't load first mission to my new "return to napali"
What i must do?? create maps under 5 MB??? >:(

i can say that i've turned on autosave in ued (checked al autosaves - every save don't work) and saved map in 5 times in only one minute. And back again until i quit editor - nothing!! Only empty grid!!! >:(

it says: failed to load package Mainbase.Vehicles


but i used package Mainbase yesterday about 3 PM and the map don't saved. I started again from the last save (the work from 2 days ago) and i decided to didn't use this package for now. But it's still saying that i don't have this package. I decided to re-create this package and now saved (from reason that this another haven't saved) but nothing SHIT!!! I am more angry than once time cause i am working with this since half of July >:(

I have this message all the time:
Failed to load level. Can't find file for package Mainbase.Vehicles.

I can say that this package was soundpack (.uax)

What the hell is going with my editor??? I would once time be like Juan Pancho Ekeels but UED don't want to allow me this pleasure of creating "free-air" maps. :-/

hmm my guess is that you added something to the map that uses such sound. try making an empty .aux with the name, and see what sound it misses. then just add that sound or a sound with that name, then you can open it again. Then just delete the object that was using this sound.

Well obviously the Vehicles group is missing from it..you must create that section again, also you can see what sound it really needs if you exmine the package with UTPT.

Thinking about it, UEd 2.1 could use the missing dependency system of UEd 3.0 - set all references to the missing package to NULL and give a warning about the fact that if you save the map, the references will stay NULL unless you resolve the issue.

Good to know, that means it's impossible to do without heavy modifications. Thinking about that, I wonder if it's possible to remember the last place viewed in UEd 2.1 so you would see what you saw when you closed the editor instead of having to fly through half of the world searching for the place you left off.

There's a little trick that I use while working on larger projects to keep track of where I left off. When you save a map the 'red brush' stays where you left it. So, before you save your work put the 'red brush' as a marker.

The problem was, you had a Mainbase.uax audio file and a Mainbase.utx texture file, so first off you should NEVER give 2 packages same name (no matter if they are .u/.utx/.uax etc...) or else these things happen!
I simply merged those 2 packages into one Mainbase.uax file and the map loads just fine now.

ok i decided that: F*ck the first (bugged)mission we are going still!!! I will make a first mission at the last and it will be smaller than this one what have broken. I'll upload screenshots one of my map from mod in near future. ;D
