It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Some port info please
Hi
Just some simple port stuff....
I want to host 2 servers on one PC and need each to be seen in the unreal browser on the LAN !!
If i wanted an external WAN connection what would I then need to alter port wise?
Thanks

Re: Some port info please
just set second server to something like 7790 (only be sure to have some ports free in between each server, at least 2, sine for default 7777 the port 7778 is also needed)
and add this to the NAT in your Router.
Details if needed here:

Thanks for that...but...
I only see the first server I start on the LAN tab.
What do these variables do:
BeaconPort
ServerBeaconPort
Thanks

If you're on the same network as your server, you may only see it in the LAN section anyway. Unreal tends to do that sometimes...not always though.
Just make sure "DoUplink" is true and also "DoBeacon" is true. As long as your ports are opened correctly, your server should show up fine. =)

I'm not sure why but I have that same issue too; I can only see one server in LAN.

Yes but there are 2 LAN servers and, like Matrix, I only see the first one that's started up in the LAN tab. I need to see both LAN servers at the same time. (they are hosted on the same machine with the same IP)If you're on the same network as your server, you may only see it in the LAN section anyway. and what is the function of these?
BeaconPort
ServerBeaconPort

Re: Some port info please
var() globalconfig int ServerBeaconPort; // Listen port
var() globalconfig int BeaconPort; // Reply port
So as it says, ServerBeaconPort is the port for Listening (the port that waits for a client connection) and the BeaconPort is the port for sending a Reply.

Re: Some port info please
UDP 7775 and 7776 are used only for LAN games. You don't need to route them through a firewall.
Got of hyper.nl website via google - thanks

I'm not too sure but if I had to take a guess I'd say its for both.Thanksvar() globalconfig int ServerBeaconPort; // Listen port

Re: Some port info please
You can change any ports to anything you want. It will only have an effect if the ports are open in your router though.
