What I don't like is that that I have never seen a function on this board, a function that exist on 100% of the forums that I have ever used, that list all the topics I ever started but sadly only the past 25 posts are available.

The search function isn't worth spit to find it either.

There is an old topic of mine that I really need some info from but sadly it is lost forever.

One can only imagine how much UNREAL conversation and information has been lost to history and made inaccessible by this forum that claims to want to keep UNREAL alive and well.

By making this stuff invisible and inaccessible has the opposite effect.

Maybe read the mass mail I sent out as well as the mass pm.

The internal search feature works alot better then the previous now as well, however please note the quicksearch box will only search a week in the past. This is the default setting of forum and designed to cut forum load. So if a quicksearch doesn't yield any results use the advanced search.

Even though this guys contact info is deader than a doornail I'm going to use this story line for my UNREAL addon.

If you notice Great Emerald says Just higher than 


The button for advanced search says just plain search. on the right of the forum is a box that says search with a magnifying glass beside it. That box is the quicksearch. The quick search box only searches one week past. As explained in my mass email and broadcast message. If you want an advanced search click on the search "button" and a new page loads revealing the advanced options.

Advanced search has never rendered any results regardless of the keyword I use even if it is "unreal" or the word "the" or "and". Many forums are like that.

on the right there is
"Match all words"
"Match any words"
"Match as Phrase"
"Match partial words"
This should satisfy fully any needs without the need for keywords like "and" "or" ?

I'm not the only one that believes that this forum has gone to the dogs. If you guys spent as much time adding to the UNREAL game as you do updating the UNREAL engine and fixing your site being hacked then there would be more stories, more game play, more maps, more everything.

You guys have reduced your selves to all talk and no walk.

You guys got no addons, you got no maps, you got no projects, you got no new releases, you guys don't have spit. I think it's time for the next generation of UNREAL fans to get their own forum together and just use this site for the perpetual UNREAL engine patch since you people have NOTHING else to offer in the way of UNREAL. You were great but you devolved into a gang of losers.

I havn't seen you posting in project topics supporting our ideas or efforts at all. These guys have worked for YEARS to develop the 227 patch which has greatly enhanced gameplay, while you have done what- sit there and complain about not being able to use the search? Oh, boo hoo, I can't use search when Casey even posted how to do it using Google. There aren't many new projects or such due to fools like you giving this site lack of support.

Lots of people say the site has gone to the dogs. That's a matter of opinion, not really a fact. The amount of people who actually "update" unreal is somewhere in the region of.. oh.. 3? I'm mostly a quality assurance debugger, I don't usually contribute anymore like I used to since most fixes are admittedly beyond my skill in C++ although I can figure out where a problem is sometimes. The other two are Smirf himself, who really couldn't play it much due to illness and work which you can't blame him for, but he updates unreal with the source to help everyone.. a better cause than a single can ever do, a stability and security patch on top of a lot of extra features that are literally unbeatable by any mod. Dots also works on 227, and he's given us so many features including the static meshes.. well.. he's just go too much to list.

The forum was never hacked, it was just crashing due to the hardware on the server side. Also : your criteria of "more stories, more game play, more maps, more everything" seems to apply directly to mapping, which if you actually checked no one has ever really mapped here : only shown releases. As I understand it, if you want mapping resources go to unrealSP : that's not our thing. ours is more of technical Q/A and general discussion.

We have something no one else has, 227. We've got the actual source to unreal itself, and the ability to fix everything. That's way more than anyone could ask for. We help everyone else create their mods and maps better than they previously could. Less crashes, better renderers, static meshes, skeletal meshes, fast C++ emitters, dynamic arrays, the list goes on. honestly : there are a few people who cause problems now and then but on what forum do these people not exist? If it were up to me, i'd just ban and forget but it's not my forum.

Even if only 5 people were left next spring, which I seriously doubt, the patch will have enabled the dev team to do what we wanted : help make unreal better for everyone. Thanks for telling us what we want to hear.

First, it's not flashing, second, this website gets an epic fuckton of bandwidth usage and it's hard for one person to pay on their own, especialy after long term medical treatments. Funny that you think the website isn't useful when the downloads are abused every month.


By the way, why the hate? We tried to help you with the search and for some reason you post this, even after we found multiple solutions.

I can only say this. You have managed to light a fire under some peoples a$$es Warp 10. It seems we have alot more support then you know, judging from all the pm's I recieved.
