Hell, I have the mac version of Unreal to, but mine didn't come with a t-shirt

I was looking for the Unreal t-shirt a while ago too. I actually still have a post card where I can sign my name and adress and stuff and they're supposed to send me all they're Unreal gear (for a hefty fee ofcorse) but i don't think it's valid anymore lol

Sounds like your a collector too, i wouldnt break the seal if i were you, you only will get disapointed afterwards if you do so.

But thats new to me theres also a MAC version with a T-Shirt. Reading that, i start to wonder if there were multiple versions of the MAC retail box, because theres also a MAC box with a mousepad:

Can you post a Photo from that boxset ?

And as said, i start to believe theres boxsets for all the merchandise like in the pictures below:

Btw, my MAC version also lacked anything, except the CD and various booklets. But i could be theres a:

MAC + Mousepad
MAC + T-Shirt
MAC + Coffe mug
MAC + Baseball cap

A cool photo from that box would be cool, if you can provide that? And last weeks i have been buying alot of stuff from the net, some 25 Unreal items in total(half of them is still in ordering progres though).

I've been debating whether or not to break the seal, so I can have copies of the T-shirt made.

And aside the fact you shouldnt open the box, it wouldnt work anyway. If you would try make a copy and use that T-Shirt as an original, the quality will be beyond horrible. In the past i have done years ilf silkscreen work on posters and T-Shirts, and trust me, you cannot pull anything decent from that shirt. A better way is to use the carton Retail boxes and create originals from those.

And that can be done, even when the box is sealed !!! For a long time now, i wanted to sell some merchandise from Unreal Texture. But i still have to find out how that goes, copyright wise. And i have no timeframe, but i am sure i will get it done. And it will be stuff like T-Shirts and baseball caps, as well as mousepads

I was waiting for you 'real fans' to chime in lol.

My box looks just like the mouseset box, however it has a shirt in it. I'll get pictures up either tonight or tomorrow.

Maybe smirf can pull some weight with the epic boys and let us get our hands on the original merchandise renderings.

i hate being such an 'unofficial' dude.. but cant u just go to a t-shirt printing place and let them put a print of unreal on it? i know in holland u can pretty much do that in every city.. u just go there with a USB with a picture and u can have it printed on a t-shirt. if i remember correctly the result was pretty good

That was what i was refering too, to me the pictures on that white T-Shirt look like the black and white pictures on the retail box with the same yellow band surrounding it. p.s. i am from the Netherlands.

They are actually easelly to get, theres still tons of those books to be found all over the place, and not just that, they are pretty cheap as well. Just go look for it on Amazon.

Hard Crash Unreal 1

Prophet's Power Unreal 2

Most of them are relative cheap, but theres also a few sellers that ask rediculous prizes like 90 dollar for a used one. And from what i know, the covers from the books have been switched, so if you buy Hard Crash Unreal 1 than in reality you bought Prophet's Power Unreal 2 ::) , and vice versa of course

Ah well, see it this way, they are really unique,....though everybody has the same unique version

But did you read them ? Are they any good? Cause i kinda always wondered, theres more people having those books, but never any remarks about how good they are, or how bad for that matter. And i am always surprised that no-one ever made a Single Player version mappack based on those books.

Though i am not too sure about the legality, i kinda plan to add the books to the Unreal Texture site so mappers can work with it.

Edit1 : i just got conformation(2 minutes ago) i own the Carton Boxed Retail version from Unreal Mission Pack 1 Return to Na Pali

Edit 2: I got conformation(2 minutes as well) i also got the Creative Labs Riva TNT 16MB 2x AGP Video Card CT6710 which i am gonna use to try get the shadows in Unreal to work

Of course I read them. I despise people buying book and never reading them >:

When finishing the first book, I thought it was kinda strange... Since I had read the second (covers are really mistaking). But after reading the second book (which is the first), it made sense.

In the end, when read in the real order, it's not a mind-blowing genre-redefining story, but it's a solid, entertaining and surprising story, with many interesting things linked to the Unreal context : nalis, names of places (I think someone talks about Bluff Eversmoking at some point, but yet, that was 2 years ago), the weapons used are familiar and at some point, it's even moving.

I wouldn't recommend it to SF-elitists-fanatics, but anyone who wants a good book to spend the day may read it, and Unreal fans certainly will have a special thought

I think they're pretty good, basically what Hellkeeper said.
The only real difference with the weapons is that the Stinger has explosive shards like that of the Needler or whatever from Halo and the Flak Cannon can shoot whatever you put in it. There's also a flamethrower I think.

Aw MAN! I'm envious of you. Ooh, do you think we could hack the file to enable real shadows and make it work with any card? Or would that be too much?

And as for everyone else, I WISH I were that much of a fan of Unreal. I only love the game to death and not any merchandise whatsoever. And I TOTALLY want that hat and T-shirt. Speaking of which, I've had an idea for an Unreal shirt for a long, long time. What I want on it is a Skaarj (obviously) on the front of the shirt in the Fighter pose looking halfway to the left with the word 'Unreal' underneath him, and on the back would be the Unreal Logo. Either that, or the Skaarj in the same pose, but instead of the word 'Unreal', the words (taken directly from Hyper.nl ) 'Alter your reality...' replace it, and on the back, it says '...forever' with the Unreal logo underneath it. I'll try to draw up and post an example of the designs I want. Just lemme go re-download Gimp...

I made a shirt with "Shivaxi" printed on it in the Unreal lettering format

I also never knew those books even existed....i might have to buy em and read them somtime 8-)

Well, for anyone who is interested in it, they guy that sells the card still has 3 other copies of them at this link: Creative Labs Riva TNT 16MB 2x AGP Video Card CT6710

But as far as i know, and there have been numerous attempts by alot of people over the years, you ONLY can run it on THAT card. But for $7.95 thats doable

And as for everyone else, DANG!! I TOTALLY want that hat and T-shirt.

If needed, i can provide a high resolution version of the Unreal logo. And i had a look at the retail MAC box i have, but unfortunatelly all the monsters are kinda cut off. It might help if []KAOS[]Casey could privide a good photo(front and back) of the T-Shirt to recreated what is on there.

Oh, i just noticed the edited posts from Killer_Skaarj and Shivaxis remark.

But yeah its a cool idea for a T-Shirt alright

The problem is that for the skaarj you need to get an as high as resolution screenshot as possible, cause printouts need alot more data than a pictures to be seen on screen.

And in the admin section from this forum we had a talk about T-Shirts as well, and i made a few models for Pitbull and Smirftsch. Below is a similar version but only with the Unreal logo.

Its a large but Super High resolution file, and you need Photoshop to have a look at it. 73 Mb packed, opened in Photoshop 301.5 Mb.

But of course its fairly dark, and for a T-Shirt it might need some additional brightning.
