You are right, one of the things he had done was to turn on 'spectator' - however, even though I unchecked that box, it did not solve the problem. I just want to return all character features to default. This is not possible in player setup. There all I can do is change appearance.

go to your unreal>system directory
find user.ini

and you'll get something like in me

[DefaultPlayer]
Name=Dozey
Class=Boss.Boss

Class Boss.Boss is a mod that i've downloaded from Gizzy's site but he restarted site and boss isn't enable to download.

But how exactly do I use the user.ini to wipe out all the features that were changed in a created characters and create a totally "fresh" character (and not just changed the name and appearance)?

if you wan't reset completly your player settings and all corrupted controls,game settings etc. just reinstall 227 patch. When I've got problem with Unreal Editor i reinstall patch and all good settings come backs.

No, to reset a charater you just need to delete User.ini.

When i deleted my user.ini i had boss class still.

But maybe 've bugged version 8-)
