It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Why did it restart? Did you get a BSoD?
Use Autoplay.unr or other Auto maps in the Maps folder.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe the log has something.
Random restarts still are usually BSoDs. Do you have auto restart off? If yes and you haven't heard a beep before it restarted, it's probably a virus.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
It wont help you now, but ALWAYS save your map each day with a new number like DmWhatever01.unr, DmWhatever02.unr, DmWhatever03.unr etc.
That way you always have a backup from the previous day, and only a days work can get lost. Computers can fail, the editor can fail, rebuilding can fail and god nows what more, so build in a safety catch for those.
And if needed you simply save 7 versions per week and start overwriting the week following. That way you have 6 backups all the time that go back one week. Better be safe than sorry.
Nontheless its uncool if you work really got lost........

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
This problem is relatively common. It results from either...
a.) A corrupt map file.
b.) A missing package (or content within a package).
AutoSave and AutoPlay do NOT do one crucial thing - save packages. This is, in my opinion, a very annoying shortcoming of UnrealEd. Often, it's the case that you add some textures to a package, add some classes to a package.. or whatever, and then, forget to save it (or the editor crashes). Even though AutoSave may have saved your map, it won't have saved your edited packages. Thus, when you load the map, you will notice that it doesn't actually load, but the UEd window _does_ become titled with your map's filename, making you think your map is fucked.
First, check the log. When you open the map and it fails, immediately close Unreal Ed. Check editor.log for any anomalies (i.e. "Failed to load ____" or "Failed to find class _____ in package _____"). I'm pretty sure that what's going on is that a package is failing to load. For example, you may have imported a new texture, used it in the map, and then autosave saved your map. When you try to load the autosave, it's referencing that new texture, but, your texture package doesn't have the texture, so the load fails. See what's failing to load. Posting your logfile here would help a lot.
EDIT: Shit, I just realized that you said you were missing Level.None.MyLevel... You must have saved something in mylevel, or... somehow mylevel got corrupted.. Arrgh! I never use MyLevel for this reason. It fucks up way too easily, and the last time I had this error, I forgot what I did to fix it.. :/

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you PM me a download link of the map and I can try to recover your map (through some HEX editing), or at least export any valid actors from it into .t3d file.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't he just open the map in a text editor and delete any reference to said ressource ?
You must construct additional pylons.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok I tried in every way to check what data there is but it is next to impossible because of:
All Export/Import links are Zero (None name, None byte count/read offset).
So however this was saved was not good, and there's nothing anyone can do without spending days of analysing each byte of the file.
If by any luck some version of that map could still be on Autoplay.unr (try renaming that file and playing it).
