Ok. Infiltration weapons have been made on DOOM and have been around for some time now, HOWEVER.

Due to a recent scare, All mod creators MUST keep watch over their work AKA Keep your fullest credit on a read-me or text file.

Mat knows. :P

Lots of shit was ported to Zdoom and skulltag ports. And I knew about this as well.

Its actually pretty common for custom Doom weapons to use graphics from other games. Back in the early 2000s using CS 1.6 weapons was all the rage. Going after Doom modders now seems pretty silly now, since they've been going this for a while now, though I think most of the decent modders credit where the weapon's sprites come from.

skulltag sucks, it maybe used to be good once, but nowadays, it's not even doom at all, it's just like some disgusting mashed mixed food.

I dunno, I just recently downloaded Skulltag and I find it relatively fun. Maybe not the DooM experience, but it's still fun and I have DooM95 for the true DooM experience.

Gizzy, there is no alternate link. That link on the site is the only one. Now.

the author of the wad is named Voltlock.

If you need his address (whoever the creator of Infil is) plz pm me. I wont give it out here on the forum for spam-prevention.

There are even sourceports that give vanilla gameplay or experience, namely chocolate doom, boom, prboom etc.
But skulltag went down the drain, hell they even started making trailers for it, even zdoom and such are much better than skulltag and it had lots of compatibility issues last time I tried.

As for Votlock's wads there was other site which had his wads, but I don't remember what the site was.

I haven't tried those source ports yet. Tried using prboom for Mac, but it was being lame. I'm not having any sort of problem with Skulltag, though.

I used PRBOOM when I played DooM II the last time, can't say anything bad about it. It also comes with GLBOOM if I remember correctly, in case you wish to see it in OpenGL.

PRBOOM has a lot of fixes, but you can disable each of them in the menu (that's a really great concept btw, I wish UT3 patches were like that, disabling all features or enabling them etc), because certain maps may get stuck with some of those fixes, even in TNT. You should be sure that the stair building method is at original and other things, which I don't remember now.

You can run skulltag without all the mod stuff and play it oldskool mod.

I used to help Carnevil with dialup coop testing years ago for skulltag. Yeah..that was my community before Unreal heh XD.

Years ago, that doesn't mean it is the same now, the later versions really pissed me off or even was net incompatible and stuff. To me Skulltag has become trash.

Just a dumb question or two. Is it illegal to port stuff over like what they are doing, or what?

Port, yes. Remake, no.
