It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Re: Celtic Warriors site is down
No thats ok, if needed i can mirror it myself. The main problem is, the site has alot of visitors(3000+ unique visitors a month). And from the mails i often get they simply dont know OldUnreal or UnrealTexture excists.
So most of those people use the Celtic Warriors site as their base site. And from their point of view the site is gone, and they cant be notified. Which makes it uncool for those people.
Odly enough the FTP is still functional, and so is the mailserver. Though from time to time they are also disfunct, but most of the time they do work. And i am glad at least the mailserver is working because all mail from UnrealTexture for bugreports on the site and the contactforms are relayed through the Celtic Warriors site.

Re: Celtic Warriors site is down
can you access via IP?
edit: tried it, I can ping it and the page works for subdirs. Probably some hacked/f*cked index.html ?
My hosting service does the same if the page was hacked f.e.

Re: Celtic Warriors site is down
To make a short story long.
The Celtic Warriors website has 10 gig of space but theres "only" 9.5 gigabyte of data on it. Years ago the site was moved to another server and after the transfer there was an additional folder that contained another 8 gig of duplicated data.
I asumed this was due to the migration and backthan i pointed it out to the host, what to do with that data, as i didnt wanted to remnove it myself because i didnt know what could happen. But i never got a reply on it, and all that time(for years) the data has been there.
Last week i got an automated mail from the site:
I went into the cpanel and it told me that there was 9.5 gig occupied which is below the 10 gig threshold. But i suspected that the site all of a sudden had noticed the extra files or simply made a calculation error.
The next day the site was gone, but also the site from the host was gone. So i couldnt contact anyone.......
A day later the host was back online, but Celtic Warriors wasnt. Reading Smirftsch remark about a corrupt index.htm file made me think and i logged in through ftp, and the index.htm file showed 0kb. I tried re-uploading but the resulting file stayed 0kb. Than i noticed that the cpanel did see theres too much data on it, which ment anything i upload simply goes into oblivion as theres no place to store it.
I decided to delete the extra data myself, and the cpanel told me theres 9.5 gig on the site which is what it should be. Than i could re-upload the index.htm and than the site came back online.
So the site is back online, except the forums are disfunct. The site from the host is also online, but same thing there, the forums are disfunct. I know that pretty much all host have the database run from a seperate server, so i can safelly asume the data server is either offline or disconnected.
I can only speculate whats going on, and maybe the server simply got relocated to a new serverbox. Other than that, no clue whats going on. Its also unknown to me whats gonna happen in the near future, and the site may go down again.
If needed it can be moved to another host(except i dont have a recent forum database), and i will if needed. But in that case it has to wait a while because i am completelly bankrupt. Last month i extended the payment for UnrealTexture.com and payed for 5 years(but got 33% discount on it, so its worth wild). And that pretty much took all the money i have and more, and the bad Euro didnt help there...........
But alla, for now the site is up again, but how long, no idea.

The account with the username 'cwclan' (celticwarriors.net), is running out of disk space.
Please remove some files from this account, or ask the administrator to increase your disk quota.
This account has used 141.83% (14183.41 Megs) of its allocated disk space.

Use the alternate site if needed Diehard. It has unlimited space and bandwidth. Just redirect celticwarriors there.
