Unreal 1 for Nokia N8 (or any Symbian-based)?

I just got crazy idea.

Nokia N8 is extremely powerful phone, it has Symbian (which is Linux-based nowadays?), 256MB RAM, OpenGL 2.0 and 680MHz processor, so could it run Unreal 1?

Because Smirf has ported Unreal to Linux, this phone has very good potential to run Unreal. Only problem may be touch screen.

Specs: http://europe.nokia.com/find-products/d ... ifications

Benchmark: http://www.finestfones.com/2010/05/noki ... marks.html

Very nice results from benchmark! This is definitely the next phone what I get if I have money sometime.

Afaik Symbian isn't POSIX compliant and all of these Nokia phones run on ARM processors. There's unofficial libSDL support though so technically the linux version of unreal could be ported to SymbianOS (but in reality it would probably require too much of an effort).

Even if, they denied me already the release of my Mac port, I doubt they will change their mind for a phone :(

The whole Symbian platform is covered by the EPL license though, it's less restrictive than GPL even so you wouldn't even have to ask them for permission ;)
