I have had dl problems on every server, slow downloading and stops too, but I found if you hit alt and enter when it stops, it keeps downloading but you have to keep hitting it so many times it is crappity smacking annoying. |^o

There are a few on which it works fine. A workaround for server admins is to increase the tickrate, while this can have negative side-effects also.
227g is fixing this issue for any admin who decides to switch (while there should be more than enough reasons, even without this most annoying bug, which bothers us almost since this game is out).

Ok, an easy way:
bind a key with obj garbage and press it while downloading.

I use enter for that. So my example refers to the enter key.

open a console with tab, type
"set input enter obj garbage"
without the quotes of course.

Press enter any time the download stops.


PS: you should also have a look into advanced options and set purge cache days to 0, to prevent to download anything after 30 days again

Do you think my tickrate of 45 is too high? my pings are really low, 22 for me, and the downloads are quick as lightning. when people are downloading i see no lag. i am working with 1 gb upload. i also seen 19 /24 people at once on my server Redrum Deathmatches, and i didnt notice much of anything. Is there anything else the high tickrate could effect that I am missing?
