Ok thats the situation
I import this texture into the ut2004 ed ..

add this detail texture

(with a detaillevel of 32 or something)

to have this result:

However, screenshoting a 2048 x 2048 texture (s3tc version of a texture) ist far not possible for me [my monitor sucks I know]... even not with faststone capture (small tool, which can capture the complete window - IF it has a scrollbar - which is only available on vertical direction as you might see and know)

OF COURSE I tried to immitate the UnrealEd + Detailtexture effect with photoshop with my known ways HOW it could work, nothing (structures or examples, german version, dont know how it is called on english) could produce something suitable.

So, anybody here willing to help me out? Either with a for me unkown way to screenshot the complete texture as 2048² or with photoshop? (I mean how it could be done there)

I'm not completely sure what are you wanting to do but I guess if you want the complete texture with the detail, just capture the top and bottom parts of it from UEd and connect the parts with an image editor.

Yes, i can help, i have some good experience in this kind of thing.

Of course I can't devote all my time to it, but i can put some time aside for it

Here's what i do:

Just an example, ill use a doom texture,

This is all done in Paint.NET

I get the texture i want(you may have some other way of doing this) I go into doom builder, Print Screen it, then take out whatever texture i need. After that ill resize it to 512x512(any size works, but that's what i did because that was the size of the detail texture)Make it black and white, then create another layer, copy and paste the detail texture to that layer, then blend them(Layer Properties)with the Overlay setting. If i like it, i keep it, merge the two layers, then make another one for the color, overlay, merge, and done; However, if i don't like it, ill mess around with a brightness and contrast settings till i get what i want, then do all the rest, here are some of the results i got

Of course, this can be done with other textures as well. This is just all i have that i can find
