OldUnreal (Engine)

Hi everyone,

I've got a big announcement to make. Gatherstone - Buster's Unreal Gold Site will be shut down very soon.

It would've been 5 years old this coming Midsummer's Eve.

The reason being is I'm moving again. Actually, I've already moved. I'm now living on Vancouver Island on an artist's colony. My lady and I have a "cabin" in the trees on the edge of a hill overlooking a gorgeous valley, with a mountain on the other side.

At night there are 3 light bulbs in the general area. That's it.

Needless to say, my Shaw service will be way too exspensive just to keep my website going. But I will continue to be online using Telus DSL, so I will continue being a Global Moderator here at OldUnreal. Of course. You can take this Unreal freak out of the city, but you can't take Unreal out of my bones !!

I hope that one of the admins here, like Pitbull or Diehard, can archive my site for me. Please (hint hint).

That's it for now. I gotta get back to chopping wood for the stove. It gets a wee bit chilly at night.

if u want, I can host your pages. I'll set you up with a subpage off {hLk}'s site.

If it can be saved the way it is that'd be fantastic. Most of the downloadable stuff is hyper-linked to Diehard's site, but I do host alot of the editor tools, those little custom scripts, my maps and stuff, all of the desktop wallpapers, and all of the UT converts by Dik.

I'd be a shame if that stuff was lost. In fact, I think my site is the only place to find a few of Dik's maps. I just don't want a few of the neat tidbits I've collected for the community to be lost. That's my main concern. Anything beyond that is a bonus. Thanks !!

Oh yeah. I just got word from Shaw Internet tonight. My site will be down in 10 days.

I always wanted to be... A lumberjack! Leaping from tree to tree as they float down the mighty rivers of British Colombia! The Larch! The Scots Pine!
I'm a lumberjack and I'm OK,
I sleep all night and I work all day!
I cut down trees, I eat my lunch,
I go to the lavatory!
On Wednesdays I go shoppin'
And have buttered scones for tea!

I'm sorta in transition, so I don't have my PC yet. I don't have access to all the files on my site, yet.

Looks very nice, kinda like the place where I live but 10 years ago... Now here is much more traffic, they destroyed a small forest due to some god damn buildings and it sucks... I'd wish if the good old times were back...

Looks a lot like the countryside here, except that we have less swans and lakes usually don't have docks.
