OldUnreal (Engine)

Hey, I've been playing Unreal for years and am still loving the game!

I stumbled over this site and have found mention of playing Unreal through online servers and such, could someone please explain how I do this along with anything other interesting things I can do.

If you mean multiplayer by online servers, then...

1. Press ESC to open your menu
2. If you have the type of menu where you use the arrow keys to select things, then go down to Multiplayer, hit enter, go to Join online games or something like that and hit enter, and you should get a browser of servers.

Or, if you have the type of menu where you have the little options on top, go to Multiplayer and Find internet games, and a browser should pop up

3. Select different tabs for different types of games (coop, deathmatch, etc)
4. Double click a server, download anything you have to to get in, and bam. Online!

'Optimise for LAN'

'Go to the Epic Unreal server list'

Either you are using the old Unreal console, or your Unreal is not patched, I suggest downloading the patches if so. Because there are none of the old hub official servers working (it would be good if someone has put up the official server lobys online, if anyone still has it in cache, Epic's server used some unseen starship map for lobby, not even gateway.unr, I saw that map in screenshot).
Besides there is none of unpatched unreal servers running as well and the only way to see them would be through gamespy lite etc.

No, that's wrong, that would redirect him to the old site.
Have you ever tried choosing "standard Unreal console" Matrix? Try that and see what it does. He is talking about that.

He's on a version less than 224, or 224 without ubrowser{I am running a copy,b ut don't know if it can connect to servers}

You need to patch to 224v, 225f, or 227.

I wish i had v220 or so. my unreal cd broke 2 years ago, i bought the game as soon i heard it was out. I also regret of not starting playing online earlier then 2004.

waht is jailbrake and how can i get it
