There is no universal compatibility.
224 is incompatible with specific things in 225f and beyond
225f and beyond are incompatible with specific things in 224
particularly the "network" related tabs on actors & a few meshes that are LOD meshes or not LOD meshes depending on the version.
Or some code that doesn't work in 224 {switch : case} but does in other versions.
226b is net incompatible with 226f. {and its a freakin easy fix, they were just lazy!}
I'm sure there are more, but I don't know them.
I wanted 227 to be 100% compatibility by incompatibility with older versions so this issue wouldn't exist but the community seems to think compat exists already anyway when it clearly does not.
If everyone upgraded to 227, there would be no issue like this.

You can FORGET it for now - the patch is still beta (has its fair share of bugs), does not support Gold or the mission pack, so it's greatness is still LIMTED. It still aint finished, one cannot apply it to Unreal versions currently in sale (Gold, Gold anthology) so it's useless... yet. I myself have cursed the patch multiple times because of its incompatibilitty with Gold and was forced to resort to an unofficial fix to MAKE it work with UGold. So as of now, you simply CANNOT count for everyone to switch to 227.
BUT
You can safely assume that everyone will switch to the new patch when it's done. I bet that when finished, 227 will be a goddamn milestone and worthy of true praise.

227g will support it, and as far as I can tell it works just fine.

Says the guy who blocks me by association with something I had nothing to do with, and also blocking OTHER people that clearly don't deserve it and never did anything to you.
Try to refrain from such inane comments on general.
Not only does RTNP work on 227, it will actually function online without third party mods, and as a side effect also fixes some other maps that have similar issues.
It hasn't been extensively tested as only 3 people even have the files but quick tests show it works fine. In the later builds of 227g testers will be allowed to try it out.

Listen.....224 maps will always work, only the coding sometimes won't work if it uses some specific things, but these are rare and only seen in mods like MCoop. Map compatibility is really a good thing and I wholeheartly disagree with this: "Get 227 or fuck off."
You can't do that. I use 227 as alternate version, but that doesn't mean I will ditch all the others, in fact many servers use 225 with Nephthys and still will use that.

You will crash.
All I did was make a cube, add a light, a playerstart and a Barrel with the moon mesh, rebuild and save. This was all done in 224.
But what's this?
227 loads it?

That's just one thing. And this is extremely rare case as well, if anyone uses the moon it won't use different mesh because nothing was changed in the map. Only if you change the mesh of something to that....but as I said this is rare.....
And stop shouting at me....I am beginning to be tired of this attitude. You are whining like a bunch of...nvm

I am merely stating facts. You say 224 is fully compatible when it clearly isnt. I dunno how facts are whining but ok. I was never yelling, just trying to get my point across.
I fully understand the want for map compatibility.. but it doesn't exist 100% in any version.

Midway had nothing to do with that, as well as DE. Unreal Gold was released under Infogrames. Only Anthology was released under Midway, which just had resaved files with different logos etc.
