Rifle Animation

I notice, as I'm sure many have, that the rifle has a animation for scope up and down and such, I was wondering if 227G could implement it in the rifle finally, also another thing I notice is the minigun has a overheat light? I don't really know what usage it has but I was curious if 227G could fix these tiny things that Epic didn't seem to get to.

Only, it would be even more appropriate not just to change it, but to make it toggleable in the menu. That's self-explanitory, though.

But watch out for mod incompatibility, some mods use the scope anim for rifle, for example newrifle in gotthoohoo.u

As some other topic said, 227 is mostly fixing glitches and bringing old stuff into the game, not adding on with stuff anyone could basically do. If anything it'd be better if they made a separate mod with this stuff.

Yeah like that unreal update mod thing by BOZO, which was meant to be with 227 I think....

In the 97/98 Beta, leftover sounds hint at the Rifle once having a flashlight feature along with zooming. The Minigun also had an overheat function in the beta, but it required a couple of lines of code to be uncommented.

Yeah I knew about the sounds etc and used it beacuse of that in the gott mod in the newrifle. But about the minigun I didn't know, I tried uncommenting it and it really works. Too bad translocator is messed up as it needs target for destination teleport and target is separate unlike 227 or UT translocator and it is bugged somewhere and I dunno where.

Is this with the minigun script with the final Unreal, or is this only in the beta? That would be pretty cool to see done, if you have the video or the script, or if anyone else wanted to do it themselves.

How do you make the beta editor to work? I get an "unrecoverable error" aka gpf every time I try to start it

Works fine for me, apart from the odd error every now and again.
Try redownloading it if it still won't work

Did you copy it into the system dir?
Besides.....you need UEDfix4 too, I mean the system files. Try if UED 1.0 works for you or the WOTEd in wheel of time etc as it is based on ued 1.

I think i have a better idea than this being added to 227....Why not just have it added to OldWeapons.u, that is if the maker is willing to go along with it. Makes sense to just add it to how the Old Weapons were supposed to be.

Besides.....you need UEDfix4 too, I mean the system files. Try if UED 1.0 works for you or the WOTEd in wheel of time etc as it is based on ued 1.
Yep, copied to beta's system folder and put all DLL and OCX files in %systemroot%\system32, dunno why it doesn't work... Oh well lol

BTW, speaken about beta stuff, is the 'Dragon' ever coming back to Unreal? i'd really love to see how epic did on a Dragon model.

The upcoming Firestorm mission pack will have a dragon that Turboman modeled after Epic's design. You can catch a glimpse of it at the end of Firestorm's trailer.

What did you copy to beta? The uedfix4 ued or the beta UED? Because only the beta UED will work.

No it is not modelled after Epic's dragon.
My mistake. He used the alpha and other inspirations to model it.
