I found out it still works even with download. I never tried these levels, did anyone else try them?

Papermoon uses an old version of the engine, serialization mismatch in 227
edit: Papermoon works in version 221

Wow...these levels are just amazing and very, very weird.... thank you for posting this link leo. I honestly don't know how ive never heard of these levels before.
EDIT: Could these be ported with the 225 map converter? So it can work with 225+.

lshell.unr crashes me in 220.
Apart from that...these levels are just messed up. linx3d3 was weird as hell and those voices creeped me out after a bit.

The levels may need a recompile to make them working in 225f.
The map converter will not fix this. The converter is for a specific 226 to 225 conversion only. (LevelSummary to SpecialEvent)

Or just use the old versions of Unreal. I have only installed 221 here, in a separate system directory, all other dirs are shared by Unreal.

Woah! Those are some hefty requirements!!
Hardware requirements:
CPU | Pentium II 200 mhz
RAM | 64 mb
HDD | 500 mb
ACC | 3DFX acellerator vodoo1
GRAPHICCARD | 8 mb
Can you imagine that back when Unreal was still being worked on, way before it came out, specs like this were probably high-end?
Anyway, does anyone know how I can "downgrade" Unreal to 221? I want to try this map pack....

I could host a full set of executable files + .U for it in a zip
I see no harm, as actually installing this is impossible without a 220 disc, and I would not give you any resources you need to run the game alone.
No maps/textures/sounds/music = unusable game
The original resources from maps/textures/sounds/music are all 220-227 compatible, as the import/export system remained unchanged for those, everything but UScript was left alone, except maybe meshes. I am not sure.
edit: it's here. Link subject to removal at any time if deemed too many files.
Included is Serpentine Beta 1 {SBeta1.u} and a few files for ConqBase since I forgot to delete them.
instructions:
Unzip to your unreal directory.. eg
c:\unreal
A new folder will appear, 221System
to run, start c:\unreal\221System\Unreal.exe
You may want to delete unreal.ini in there and let defaults load,
then you must add the 221System path back in also, be sure to set PurgeCacheDays to 0, unless you want your cache deleted!
[Core.System]
PurgeCacheDays=0
SavePath=..\Save
CachePath=..\Cache
CacheExt=.uxx
Paths[0]=..\221System\*.u
Paths[1]=..\Maps\*.unr
Paths[2]=..\Textures\*.utx
Paths[3]=..\Sounds\*.uax
Paths[4]=..\Music\*.umx
If you choose not to load defaults, you can install the glide wrapper here:
http://www.zeckensack.de/glide/archive/ ... er084c.exe
for it to run without issues. If the glide wrapper makes you freeze, you will have to reboot your system and blank the ini and change configs.
Complicated I know, but anyway
