Want to play Unreal +Enhancements, where to start?

Sorry if I missed it in the forums, I spent some time poking around the site and it has rekindled my Unreal fire. I want to play it again, but with any and all updated GFX/Sounds/Music etc.

So Im a little confused what I need to do this. I would imagine I need 227, but do I need the texture sets/audio sets from this page as well?

Is everything already included in 227?

And if I do need them, is that everything that enhances the original game, or is there more Im missing?

Its great to see people still interested in such a classic game. I still have my original box with the 1 of 4 actual gameplay screens. Such a great game

You do need the textures, but audio enhancements and updated renderers are already included in 227.

Ohhhh good to know. I would have made the mistake of installing everything then. Maybe that wouldnt have even been a problem, but I like to try to keep things running smooth without any excess clutter

It seems that all of the texture packs are offline. Im getting 404 for all of them. I dont suppose anybody knows of alternate links, or an ETA when they will be back up?

I went where you posted, but I cant seem to find any files to download.
I see all kinds of information about high end textures, download section, etc, but no actual links.

Yes all links are broken on OldUnreal, as with the Celtic Warriors site. When i am done with the updates ill redo those pages but no ETA. Just ASAP


And the Unreal Texture site, the page gives a description for each button in the left menu. So the page tells what can be found under the buttons. And there is little to do about the complicated navigation, theres simply too many options people can choose from. But if you know how it works, it should be pretty easy to find what you need.

I have to admit, I was pretty impressed by the fact that all the texture packs were updated since 2010. I had no idea people were still even into this game and still adding improvements.

I read your post, it seems you (and others?) have been quite busy with this project. Its looking pretty damn good. Im a patient person, so Im going to wait and see about your latest releases before firing up the game again.

I'd keep an eye out on the upcoming map packs for Unreal soon to come, like Firestorm and Residual Decay, and The Chosen One....lots more to look for. Check the Projects thread on this forum. Also, most of the upcoming big map packs on www.UnrealSP.org under Community - Upcoming Maps

For how long Unreal is to begin with, then you guys releasing map packs.. thats a lot of Unreal! lol Its Unreal! Ok bad joke... but yea, thats pretty awesome.
