It's almost hard to believe you guys are already in the new year on the other side of the world. We fairly round citizens of the USA are the only ones still in '09 at this point (posting at 11:17 PM EST, meaning yes, we're the only ones west of the Prime Meridian who are still in the Old Year)

However, I will be uploading a New Years video at precisely 12:00 AM EST. It should be a real treat for you. I had terrible framerates whilst recording it, and you'll see why.

Yummy, real Dutch Oliebollen! I've had the opportunity to taste the best oliebollen of the country. (From the 7 times winner of the oliebollentest.) Yes, they were good. Specially imported from the Randstad (Rotterdam) to the province of Zeeland.

I had an excellent New Year's Eve with the group I live and we had some fireworks. I wish all of you a fortunate, happy and healthy 2010!

Haha Hyper you should try Drenthe's Meppelse oliebollen Hm.. delicious!

I looked up Oliebollen, and it looks a lot like the fried dough strips covered in powdered sugar my mom made for the end-of-Ramadan party she threw at our house earlier last year (as in, 2009 ), but in a ball shape, and fried in a deep-fryer, whereas the stuff my mom made was fried on the stove in a pan (still in oil, though)

oliebollen, appelflappen and appelbeignets :p my grandpa bought wway too much , at the end of the evening we could even order how much we wanted to take home with us lol

I had some burek, it's really nice. Real Bosnian burek. They make better then in Croatia lol.
