Merry Christmas Smirf! And Happy New Year! Ten years since the start of the new millennium. Holy crud, it seems like it passed by so quickly, and yet there's so much that happened!! From 2000-2010, a lot happened, as with any other decade, but for once this was a decade that I followed and remembered from day one (I was at the doctor January 1st, 2000). Even thought I've been alive for a decade and a half plus one more year, 2000-2010 has been special, at least for me.

Also, I'm surprised I'm the only one so far who's mentioned that Jan. 1 2010 will mark ten years since the start of the millennium. Like, what the deuce?

I'd like to also pass along a "Merry Christmas" from Jeb aka ShortBusRider. It's been a hard time for him. This is the first Christmas since the recent death of his daughter, Deb. He wishes everyone here all the best.

And to the families of the members of our community that have passed away. It will be a difficult Christmas for them. I will be thinking of them, and lighting a candle this night.

As I told a friend of mine, if the loss of loved ones makes Christmas a hard time, see this day through the eyes of a child. For this day is a celebration of the birth of a child, the joys and awe of children as they count the "number of sleeps."

It's a day where we can all be a child. Innocent and giddy. Smile for no other reason than it's Christmas.

Snow melted here like 3 days ago (remained for 2 days which is much in this area) and yesterday and today it was raining madly.

yey it whas a bit rainy but for the first time in years we had a white christmas.
btw: with white christmas i mean snow not a christmas without black people lolol
