It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

SavePath in UE1 and UE2
I just discovered, that SavePath=../Save doesn't work in UT(and UE2 games). Only SavePath=..\Save works correctly.
But it works in Unreal227! Why?

227 fixes a lot of stuff, I guess it was fixed like all the other stuff.
The weird thing, though, is why doesn't it work in other games, lol. It just doesn't make any sense...
Are you talking about winblows or Linux?

That's indeed weird. EpicSweeney broke something in later engines I guess...

I cannot seriously play because of that. It goes through the motions, it looks like it's saving but it does not.

You've got a point here... This looks like it's related.
But then, why are you the only one (that I know of) that's having these issues...
Check your settings and change them accordingly, see if that helps.
Slash should not be used for local paths anyway, use the backslash for local filesystem and slash for things such as web addresses, etc.
For example, http:\\oldunreal.com works for me in Firefox 3, but will surely not work in all other browsers (especially not the old ones)...

I remember fixing this while working on Linux port...
Sometimes you have to lose a fight to win the war.
