Well. As the name implies, this topic is indeed about Dellkat. It isn't bad but its rather sad. Dellkat died on July 22nd, sometime in the early morning hours in his sleep. Here's the proof -

http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dailyp ... =130233405 .

There are also 2 memorial videos on youtube.

Even though he was teased a lot and made fun of, he wasn't a bad guy. He played the game and even through insults and such he kept going. I myself have nothing against him and no idea why he had to be insulted such. I never really knew him too well so I don't have much I can say really, except that we should indeed respect him and have a moment of silence, for we have lost a great Unreal player.

Raymond Walat - Rest in peace and sweet dreams.

And I have to say this also. What you posted, Mentalhunter, is the most touching "memorial" I've read. When a person's life (or death) changes you and makes you a better human being, that's a great testimony to that person's life - no matter how cruel or kind others were to them.

Raymond obviously changed you for the better, and in that small way his death is not in vain. And maybe even a little less sad. Thank you for your complete honesty, Mentalhunter. It took alot of character.

God bless you, Raymond.

Thanks, i really appreachiate you said that, and i really meant what i said. Before he and i gathered into a fight, we had our good times tho. He seemed to love Sailormoon to, and he was helping me testing my mods on his server so i found an ut Sailormoon Model at SkinCity, i made it into a scriptedpawn and put an playerpawn in it also. he was very statisfied about it and was glad i made it for him. I'm glad i've made that mod, that made me feel less guilty as soon as i remembered that.
+ i once stand up for him a little while ago, i don't remember what it was all about but at least i know i did it.

And to Casey:
He had suffered alot of surgeries he told me on MSN once he had a couple of surgeries on his lip, as what was noticeable on the video's.  and his feet a couple of times also, thats all he ever told me, but i bet there was more going on then just that.

He has frequented our Newbies servers in the last few months and was always cheerful and jolly to all.  Sad loss of such a young man.  I have watched him grow on unreal for quite a few years, from a uncontrollable youngster to a person just beginning to take his place in the unreal community.  Sad day indeed.
Sympathies and prayers to his family from the Unreal Dog Clan and Oldsparky.

God grant you strength and courage in your time of grief.

I am tearing up at this news, and had no idea that upon waking up I would be greeted with such a slap to the face. I (and Jackrabbit) were the two people who hung out with him the most (online of course). We talked regularly on VOIP, often about Unreal and random stuff... He was always talking about WWE, Star Trek, Unreal, and his local weather. His funny personality is definitely one of a kind, and nobody will be able to replace him. I can still recall hearing his off-the-wall commentary and jokes to this very minute, and still find it hard to believe that he is gone...

Even though I too, a long time ago, used to make fun of him, I realized that it wasn't worth it, and we became good friends. I daresay he's the only person in Unreal who would ever join my server as soon as he saw it up, and then we would play Unreal for hours on end, blowing sh!t up 24/7. As his only remaining clan member (NR), Dellkat, I salute you and your legacy that has made Unreal just that much more legendary.

I hope no-one takes offense to this, but, as a mild atheist/deist, I must say that if God is real, then he's just taken into his arms one of Unreal, nay, the world's, best, and I hope that Dellkat is somewhere continuing on in peace and happiness...

R.I.P Raymond "Dellkat" Walat

Though I've talked to him quite a few times, I never really knew him that well. He seemed to be a great person and even shared some common interests with me (Star Wars and Star Trek).

Hearing about his death upsets me.. no one deserves to die that young. I feel horrible now for every joke I heard about Dellkat and laughed at.. I feel horrible for every joke I made about Dellkat in an effort to be funny to others who made the same jokes. If I had known (and I think this applies to everyone) that he would only be living life that long.. I wouldn't of dreamed of making fun of him.

I guess this shows us that, you can make fun of someone you don't always get along with, or someone who is different from everyone else... but when something like this happens, you finally see how wrong you really were.. and yet it's too late to change it.. too late to ask for forgiveness.

I didn't make fun of him as much as others have done, but that doesn't make it any more excusable. Let this be an example to everyone in the Unreal community.. and hopefully everyone in the world.. to just make a little bit more of an effort to be kind to others.. and to not make fun of them because everyone else is. If only more people would do that.. maybe this world would be just a little bit better.

R.I.P Dellkat, the Unreal community will never forget you. I hope you had a good life.

Also, I have decided to create a memorial for Dellkat on one of the maps I'm making. Because it seems right.

Wow, I'm quite shocked to be honest this is horrible news.  Indeed i am one of the many people responsible for making fun of dellkat in the past and overtime I stopped and learned hes really a good guy, I just never expected something like this to happen.

My heart goes out to Dellkat and his family.  He will never be forgotten in the unreal community.

No one deserves to die young.

i never really talked to him much. i went on his server every now and then, i had him on msn for a while too. i found his personality a bit different when compared to other people, but i got the impression that he was a nice guy. Dellkat was Unreal's celebrity.. everyone knew him, heard of him, or talked about him. it's a shame he's gone. i hope he had a good life

To Mentalhunter, I posted above ...
"Raymond obviously changed you for the better, and in that small way his death is not in vain."

It seems he has change quite a few people.

In reading all of the posts and memorials I've learned abit about Raymond. I never met or spoke with him myself, but I can tell just by the few things posted, he became friends with those who may have once been cruel or teasing with him. That shows me that he looked beyond such things and saw the good in people.

I think he has forgiven.

In reply to Buster,
I do believe he did in fact look past peoples cruelty, or bad qualities. He was indeed a person who would simply just laugh with you as you made fun of him, it was never his style to often "blow up" on anyone at all. He generally just took most of the jokes thrown at him from what i saw. Something few people can do these days. Generally its all about getting back at others or fighting.

And to anyone who was once mean to Ray, I am sure he forgives you all, I myself have made jokes at him a few times. Not really proud of that, but I am sure because of the person he was, he forgives everyone.

Dam... those memorial videos really tore me apart. Dellkat was actually pretty cool to play with. He made me laugh a lot. And the fact that he was bullied really is sad. Bullying is one of the worst possible things that can happen to any one, and the fact that he didn't let it get to him is amazing. R.I.P

Yeah Moke, we both know that Dell had a fun-loving and unique personality. I think that all of us here should remember not the negative portions of his life, but the positive ones... Let's remember the good times and not dwell on the bad. Dell will definitely be missed.

I can't say I ever liked him...we never really got along.  But nobody deserves to die at that young of an age.  At least he died peacefully.  RIP
