no problem that is the least i could do for a friend

I just started Trillian after many months and got this message:

I accepeted, but he seems to be offline...

Probably some hearthless maniac trying to act funny.

Yes, I think the last option. Or just the network acting weird. (this sometimes happen with 3rd party clients)

And if you look arounf the internet there is more proof to find actually
check hyper's forum.

I agree with Snakebite, he probably died, but we will NEVER know for sure unless we see the proven evidence ourselfes, but lets just asume he died. I really doubt someone pretended to be his father and posted here. Thats unthinkable, and btw, at hypernl forums his father posted serveral pictures, so well, i do believe he died actually.

I wouldnt go there, i have seen this happen in the past in Unreal, and its not the direction you want.

As for Trillian, Hyper already said that he actived Trillian for the first time in months, and he probably got a notification sent from Dellkat prior to him passing away.


For the posting on his account, that too can easelly be explained. If i die, than my family will likelly use my accounts as well, just to proove its actually true. (and because my health i did make such arrangements as well). Because if you dont, than no-one will know for sure what happened, because anyone can create an account to tell someone died. But the fact his own accounts were used, means that its proof he died, period.



So in all respect, its makes 100000% sense they were smart enough to use his own accounts, to prevent exactly this kind of talk.....

There was an article for his death in a newspaper that I read when I heard the news, can't be fake.

If it's from only one source, it could be a lie.

If it's from many sources, chances are low that it's a lie.

Hello, This is Gunny aka Darksiege and SirIronheart. I played the original Unreal. DellKat...Ray died July 22nd 2009. I found him and I still see him in his bed sleeping every time I look in his room. Yes, he is gone but will always be in my heart and memories. He most likely sent you an invite prior to that night. Sorry you did not know about it as I tried to be sure everyone was aware. It was acute liver failer caused by pills he was taking to lower his cholestroil. It was sudden with no warnings. He was in good health. It was a side affect of some sort. It happens and I must accept that.

Yeah, and i was gonna add that, but forgot, if you say things like that, its just awfully hurtfull to his relatives and friends. And Gunny should not have needed to come inhere to defend what happened.....





P.S. a small Unreal memorial page is in the make, but as usual it takes ages for me to complete things.

Ok, anyone who thinks it isn't true...I really have no words for you...only huge disrespect...I was really ashamed when there was a case with niceone back years ago....there was spread some rumor that he died, but he didn't in fact at the time..the rumor was not spread by any close friends, in fact it was misinterpration that he died, he was dying yes, but he was still alive...when he died I suppose much later, it was not announced..what was really announced was the fact that he is dying and is in bad condition, what most of you don't know is that and it was not revealed until now, that he got actually little better and didn't die in those critical days, but because of sick people making fun of him, he had to hide that and he was using different nick ingame, which I knew of, together with few others.....when I think of it again I really must say that it was very disrespectful of Unreal community to pull that out. Because of claims of certain PHX clan member, that he is dead already, everyone who saw niceone thought it was imposer. He was given really hard time and it was not easy for him to play, but he wanted to stay around few people online...he was becoming more and more childish of course because of the disease, it took him back to child years.

It was a really embarassing case, now this is something else...here we know he has died and even we have seen shots of his urn...and now someone comes in and thinks it was a lie? Pardon me...but really huge disrespect..

It's true what you're saying... I've never even heard of the other guy though, but I know anyone would die, at least emotionally, if others made fun of them like that... There are sick people, skeptics, gossipers, liars, naive people and nice people. Which of them one is depends on him/her, it's his/her choice.

People who make fun of someone's disease or even death (yeah there people that sick) deserve to die instead...

If I was a mod, I'd close this thread... Looks like it's going to burst into a flame war, and I'm sick of those...

When I posted "condolences" on behalf of the entire Unreal community I received a "thank you" email from Raymond's family.

I don't think they were "faking" anything !!

This whole "debate" is ridiculous. It's quite common to keep a person's facebook account active after their death as a forum for others to share their loss and grief.

Just like this topic will remain open, for others to share their loss and grief of losing a friend, their blessing and laughter remembering a friend.

If somebody posts an inappropriate comment let it remain. It only reflects the "hunanity" of that person. Posting a response will reflect yours. Think about it.
