Has anyone ever finished Unreal at the Uneal difficulty level?

The Hard level?

I finished Unreal on Unreal skill and RTNP I didn't finish at all because of d@mn voice log bugs without the patch and when I applied the patch I forgot about it. :(

EDIT: But I'll now try Unreal on the new skill level. ;D

How is that possible?

I can only do the Medium.

I go through Unreal, RTNP and Illhaven about this time once a year (after originally playing through it a dozen times a few years ago).

This time I'm using Totally Unreal (4 disk set) that also comes with RTNP and Uneal Tournament. Got it for $2 at a yard sale.

This time, as always at this point, I had to use the God cheat to get past the 15 or 20 Skaarj at the beginning of ISVDECK1. I started that level with 9 health. Then in Spire Village I had to use it to get out of the house and past the two Titans. One always stands at the door and the other behind the house and they can hit you through the house with the door shut too. Hopefully I won't need to do that again but I'm sure I will have too.

I just don't see how a person could do it at the Hard or Unreal level.

I could record it. ;)
ISVKRAN1: ForceField is pretty handy there (the one you got from Ruins, but if you didn't use it to turbo-end ISVKRAN32 ;D). And, before you press the first button, use Invisibility if you desire. After that, it's of no use (all Skaarj start attacking you).
SpireVillage: ASMD/DP+Amp and Minigun the Titans, or just run by them. ;)

Unreal and RTNP is pretty easy in Unreal difficulty for me, I've beaten both on those levels multiple times.

Yeah... Especially Sunspire, lol. You can go for a detour or straight to the end.

Or Bluff with Jumpboots! :o

I tried playing it on Adept on UT2004 with Dots' Unreal 1 Game mod and my own UT2004 weapons mutator (gives you the UT2004 weapons back), and I didn't manage that... Too many strong monsters :(

Imo UT2k3 is a LOT easier than UT2k4 (UT2k3-Godlike[ch8776]UT2k4-Adept).

I don't see how that would help because those Skaarj are unavoidable and will hunt you down.

I didn't want to use up all my ammo on those two Titans.

Took me 3 hours to get to the top of that yesterday. Lol. I'm glad I had 60 flares saved up going in, lol.

I have never found the shortcut to the top of that place.

I run through the series once a year and I never remember who or what or when or how so it's like brand new every time I play.

Isn't the Gas Bag noise a horse?

I wasted two Nali seed pods too. I was on top of the generator thingy during the process of shutting down the engines and they won't grow on top of that.

Also, at what point is the earliest location to get the sniper rifle and I forgot, how to use sniper mode.

First Rifle is in SkyCaves aka "Gateway to Na Pali", the map after Sunspire.

I also got lost every time in Sunspire before, but I've learned a shortcut.
I'll make a video of playing Sunspire and the shortcut today evening.

The key to Sunspire is called "don't turn anywhere". Main cistern, then up the lift, then into the watering chamber, then down, through the hole, kill all pupae (or killall pupae), and only then you'll need to turn as left as possible because in front of you is a wall :D Then just ride a lift up, another lift up, yet another lift up, go activate the crystal, then enter this flying box and level end!

Has anyone ever finished Unreal at the Uneal difficulty level?

The Hard level?
Try this:
Difficulty=255
this is prior to Unreal 227, I doubt this has any effect on 227.
Unless it defaults back to difficulty 1 or 2 mabe.

If you're careful theres a lot of stuff to pick up in Sunspire.

Come in handy later.

I know the entire Sunspire level like the back of my hand.

Well, I know pretty much all the levels like the back of my hand.

I finished Na Pali Haven.

When I'm done with that I always like to shoot out all the windows and ride the cows. Lol.

I been trying to do the "rocket jump" but can't get it to work or get it right.

It's very simple. :)
Look at the floor, turn on jumpboots if you have them, prepare the forcefield, charge 5 or 6 rockets, and just before the moment at which the eightball's gonna blow, jump. You must be near to floor in that moment. When I was first trying to do that on NaliC, it took me about 30 to succeed. ;)

I wanted to try to figure out how to do that because I didn't have the jump boots but since the boots jump rather high on their own why does one need the jump boots in order to do the rocket jump?

If one had the boots they wouldn't need the rocket jump anyway.

And the force feild has never been good for anything except to hide behind and then the enemies just go around it so what does that fit into the rocket jump?

you can jump onto the force field then rocket jump for even more height than just a regular one with boots :p

Typing in "Fly" or "Ghost" can get you around to a lot of places, too. :P
