dedicated server

I know this is asked very often, but I used the search and couldnt solve my problem. When I open a dedicated server it appears only in "LAN Servers".
douplink=true, and I opened the ports 7777, 7778, 27500 and 27900 on my router. So what do I have to do then? I use winows XP.

...add the following lines to your Unreal.ini:

ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.oldunreal.com MasterServerPort=27900
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=hyper.dnsalias.net MasterServerPort=27900
ServerActors=IpServer.UdpServerUplink MasterServerAddress=master.hlkclan.net MasterServerPort=27900

and

[UBrowserAll]
ListFactories[X]=UBrowser.UBrowserGSpyFact,MasterServerAddress=master.oldunreal.com,MasterServerTCPPort=28900,GameName=unreal
ListFactories[X]=UBrowser.UBrowserGSpyFact,MasterServerAddress=hyper.dnsalias.net,MasterServerTCPPort=28900,GameName=unreal
ListFactories[X]=UBrowser.UBrowserGSpyFact,MasterServerAddress=master.hlkclan.net,MasterServerTCPPort=28900,GameName=unreal
Please note that the [X] has to be replaced with the correct following number of your ini. So if your last entry is [2] you have to replace it with [3],[4] and [5].
Btw you don't need to forward any other ports except the game and query port (in your case, 7777-7778) so close them.

If it still doesn't show up after that, post here again.

Also if you have winblows firewall, uninstall it and get something better.

It'll only show up in LAN anyway for you, if you are running it from the same network as you are trying to join. So it's normal, dun worry aboot it :P

I can see my server when i host it, and it shows in coop also, its on the same network.

UH I always see my server on LAN, Coop and all servers... :-?
But weird, he doesn't have vista and has this problem... Really weird...

It'll only show up in LAN anyway for you, if you are running it from the same network as you are trying to join.  So it's normal, dun worry aboot it :P
not *entirely* true, as for my server shows only at LAN on my server PC itslef, but also in the other lists on the other computers in the network.

hm, well i have added the lines in my unreal.ini and the server is still in LAN Server only. The Server named "Pedis Testserver" is open at this time. So someone can take a look if it appears in All servers and can say whats the ping :)?

I don't see it atm. And does this problem only happen to me? Like seriously wtf...It's never showed up for me in coop on the same network...ever...on any computer or network I host on...I'm lucky to have it show up in LAN at all actually...cause if I run more than 1 server, only 1 shows up :-/

hm ok the server was open all the time...

EDIT: I found something in the server console

I can change the serverbeaconport in the advanced options. Port 7778 is free on my router...
