are you using some kind of download manager/accelerator? I denied those because of absurd abuse of my traffic.
If so, just try without...

apparently, norton internet security 2009 is actually not bad, but somewhere between acceptable and pretty good.
Which is some sort of paradox, norton, good? On my windows?

AVG Internet security for me.
And try TCUERG Roland, I often refer back to that when I'm stuck.

I personally prefer F-Secure. Makes lil trouble, is fast and it doesn't ask me sh1t all day which I expect to be automatically done in a commercial software, like f.e. updates.

First, don't use internet sexploder, use Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, DarkBrowser, Bon Echo, Dillo, Netrik, Wget or ANYTHING but that piece of crap... I'm just giving you advice.
And if you got enough $$$, a hardware firewall is a must.

I've been using the FREE versions of AVG anti-virus and ZoneAlarm firewall ever since they were first released !!
I've always gotten the newest FREE version & any updates I've ever needed, and I've NEVER had a virus or trojan etc !!
* knock on wood *
ZoneAlarm has a "gamer mode" that won't interfer with online play. It also blocks and logs any outgoing traffic that doesn't have permissions.
Both are nice features to have available in a firewall !!
Ok .. I'm done with my 2 cents worth - LoL.

I use Comodo Pro and it asks me whenever I try to run an unidentified/new/changed exe or some program wants to make traffic (doesn't ask for apps I set as trusted, of course) so it's all good too, but, AVG... I'll only say: it used to be better. I'm speaking from my own experience and I've had much better experience with AntiVir (Avira) because it detects infected pages before they load and detects if there's a trojan in cache or something... Overall has better detections and less false positives... Just saying though, if you like AVG or something else you're free to use it

except Norton, where I have to say that it simply sucks.
