Anyone know how to fix this?  Some of the servers i want to join dont appear on the list even though they are up. This started happening when i started using a computer with vista.

EDIT it appears my freind thatguy is getting this too.

Vista has a tendency to block everything trying to gain access to the internet...make sure Unreal is allowed through your firewall.

My firewall is off , it may be some related security feature though

Check any third party security software you may have that has a firewall or blocker of some sort :P

And me is among those. I cant get any server with Vista, and if they do show up, it only gives me IP adresses but no names. And the pings are all 9999

Sometimes all of a sudden i do get a serverlist, so its kinda random. Interesting thing is, when i pull out the router i always get a serverlist in Vista. And no, its not a problem with the router, because i also have a Win2000 system on that same router and it always gives me a serverlist.

I dont disagree there, but sometimes you have no choice. I prefer Win2000 above anything and Vista is utter crap. But XP also has its problems. Likelly ill switch to Win7.

But in the meantime theres tons of people using Vista !!!, so a good solution is welcome.....

Yeah that's completely true. :) I have Win7 on virtual pc and XP home sp3 on physical laptop because I got it as OEM and I have no cd/dvd drive in my laptop so I had to use it... Like some people have to use vista. :\

Anyhoo, I don't know a good solution, BUT...
When I make my program able to query the master server, you could try using that because it's lightweight and maybe doesn't get blocked.

However until that... I'm afraid it's hard to get a solution that works...
