It means "Tim's profanity code blows". You said it is the tag for a mover, so the mover is activated by a trigger with a matching Event. If you're wondering why they chose that particular tag, it's because people who make games enjoy jokes just as much as other people. You can find in-jokes in a lot of things.

It's just the tag "name" used by the level designer to attach the trigger to a mover. Obviously it's an inside joke between the level designer and Tim Sweeney. Tim was the main scripter of the original Unreal engine. Actually, that's pretty funny. It's like an "easter egg" for mappers to find. Nice catch !!

:D

I remember seeing "Pancho is naked" in RtNP somewhere, I think it was one of the Nagomi levels.

Lol on Dug there's that hidden translator event "Canada is really cold. I like Dos Equis beer. My cats are fuzzy."

And on Dig that mover-lift at the end has the tag "DisLiftEatsSh!t"

Ahhhh Bleszinski (Y)

What exactly does "Tim's profanity code blows" refer to? was there possibly going to be profanity filtering online? (But because of the almighty sweeney, this may have been dropped)

do u guys actually use Tags/Events that make sense?
like u have a trigger operated mover called : LiftA, then LiftB, all the way through the map?

my tags are always really random and pretty long xD

like uhh... omgzorgspawnanotherkrallalready12365234 for a creature factory :P

the only tags which i have 'ordered' are music events. so i dont have to check their tags all the time :P

I use schemes like "MiddleBlueJumpSpotLeft" or such. And always with capital letters, because tag matching is ownage.

Always simple for me. LiftA, LiftB, Door1, Door2 etc....

I made some glass in my newest map and they are named BreakingGlass1, BreakingGlass2, and so on. Other stuff also... Door1, Door2, Teleporter1, Teleporter2...etc.

I never tag the neat way, i usually just type down the first thing that comes up in me.
sometimes i don't even type, i just bash my head on my keyboard and copy the tag to another actor.

Thinking of it, there's alot of obscene words in my tags,
some people who beta tested my maps (and opened them in the editor) complained about that ;)

The consequence of this chaotic method is the horror of cleaning up; whenever something doesnt function properly, i have some horrible cleaning up to do (now think about those 20+ dispatcher sequences of incomprehensible gibberish :P )

Here's an example of what I do, and why I do it that way:

sb_Lift1

- setup B Lift1

So I can easily recognize what settings I have for Lift1. If I need another lift with the same settings I just have to copy it over and change the tag to ...

sb_Lift2

Makes it very easy to find stuff with the same settings, etc.

Actually, my take on the tag "timsprofanitycodeblows" is this. The mapper didn't want to have profanity in the tag, and wanted to say "Tim's f___king code blows", so he replaced the profanity with.. "profanity". This makes more sense to me as there are a ton of BS fixes in some uscript classes, and BS fixes arise from mappers encountering them, which would probably get annoying... hence this legendary tag!
