I can see why you got a really high score, its nearly impossible to tell the difference between some on this crappy monitor, I couldnt imagine being able to tell the difference when you're colorblind.

I got 42, which isnt that bad considering this monitors colors suck.

I see colors though, I don't see black and white or grey...but I see colors differently and I don't see certain shades of colors or some colors I even fail to recognize from another, even some types of green from one type of red etc.

Sounds a lot like my friend, she'd call something purple and it'd actually be yellow or something. Partial colorblind is pretty odd to say the least

could be worse I guess. Although staring on a screen sorting colors is way harder than expected. Guess I still lack concentration, I think on paper I could reach a better score

I didn't want to take that test because it was too tedious. I didn't need to, though, because I already know I'm Red/Green colorblind, which just means I can't distinguish the two from one another when they're dull and really close together. I can see the difference between my avatar and the words underneath it, but when I want to, say, plug my headset in, I can't tell which one's pink and which one's green.

Yeah actually I cannot do real graphics due to my colorblindness, I can do maps, but I can't do proper lighting either, so someone else should do that for me, I guess that is why I jumped on making something for Doom2, since there is no colored lighting.

But many people doubted in past I am colorblind, but really I cannot even distinguish plain white from one shade of light blue either etc...I had to change my settings in wadauthor since that color was set to highlight things there. But I couldn't tell if it is highlighted or not.

But you should try to test, I want to see if you got higher score than me or not.

I don't ever have time to do long boring tests. My vision is also very limited.

My eyes dont see colors properly, and on a very sunny day, oné eye sees the sunny day while with the other it looks like theres heavy thunderclouds and everything looks dark. Aside that i am nightblind oné sees more red than the other who sees more blue.

But long time ago i falsified a numberplate for my moped, and painted the thing myself. Got busted for something else and the numberplate was sent to the national police lab, where they concluded that i mixed the different colors of paint to an exact 100% match. They actually were in disbelieve you could mix colors by hand that exact. Out of 16000 different blue toned shades i had a 100% match, so i was acurate to 1/16000.

Backthan i worked in a printshop and was already know for my capabilities to mix print ink. But the lab results were kinda a final proof of that lol. And i actually didnt get a 120 dollar fine because it was an exact match lol. They let off the hook because of that :) I did got a fine for not wearing a helmet though.......

I guess the screen you use to pass the test plays a role too. I know mine is quite overbrightened.

Did the same on another one and I scored 10.

Took the test again by daylight, and i got 0.

But i do have a bit of doubt on the test. For instance the top row starts with pink, than red is added, than green is added till it gets green. In my view i can arange it by the correct color, but on the green end i can see noticably lighter and darker colors sitting on the wrong place, even though the coloration is correct. Those brighter/darker who do not seem to fit in confuse me. And last night i noticed the same thing.

And i know what i did last night(thats aside i run over someone and killed him after dropping him in the water) and i tried to fit those differences in brightness as well. Which than might have led to a slightly different score.

Did the test again to make screenshots in color and in greyscale so people can compare:

A remark for the color blind. The teacher i had in the printshop i worked was color blind, except me, no one knew. The teacher passed away a couple a years, but he was the living proof that color blind people can see colors as acurate as "normal" people. I believe its also a matter of experience. Because he worked with colors alot, he got experienced in seeing colors dispite his handycap.

And i wonder, if you keep the greyscale perfect score chart as example, could you make a perfect score as well Leo? And if you try it several times till you succeed, the next day, could you also do it without the example and see how far you get, but now based on memory and experience from the previous day?

Would be interesting if you tried it.

I know i'm colorblind in certain areas...usually between like a bright green or a yellow...I can't tell the difference at all. Lessee if the test comes up with the same results:

*bout 10 minutes pass*

Ok apparently I'm colorblind in the blue-green scale...and ONLY in that area :-/. I scored 25.

As people have said, it probably isn't going to be too accurate due to screen differences. What you probably could and should do is print out the page, align them on the paper, then do it on the screen based on where they are (E.G.: this reddish one is 4 spots away from the left side, and I moved it 2 spots away from the left side.) That would probably take longer but could end up more accurate.

I realize I misunderstood how the test is supposed to be, hence the result..... I thought I am supposed to drop the colors in that right and left example color.....

My eyes see different hues and brightnesses too. I'm not gonna do the test now with a 10,1" LCD but I remember doing the very same test about half a year ago or something like that and I scored 0.
