Texture's that sould be clear but they're NOT

Post by Colonel McShizzle »

I figure this is the place to ask because someone here must either have the same problem or have already figured it out. Some (but not all) textures in the game that are of portals, energy streams, beams and the like should have clear areas in them but instead it's black. I've found the most of these once you get to the final ship but they're in other places too.

I've had this issue over 8 years 3computers and four different video cards. There was one brief shining moment in the late 90's when the combination of the right video card and a certain video driver caused this stuff to render correctly otherwise I wouldn't know what they're supposed to look like.

I thought the masked texture hack thing might fix it but it didn't. The tree branches render fine anyway.

If anyone has any thoughts or knows how to fix this, please I'd love to hear it.

I'd blame the mapper first. :P

I actually have a texture that's masking when it shouldn't be, or at least it never has untill recently.
