Re: 227 real final
when every serious bug is addressed; when every person can play unreal happily ever after; when there are no more conflicts with this or that; when ppl cant complain about unreal for being unstable.. in other words, nobody knows..
bug reports already came in with 227f, and if a 227g is to be released, there might be bug reports the day after that's released too. mind u, its very hard to get everyone satisfied. these guys are doing the best they can and they are freakin brilliant and amazing for accomplishing all these things. personally, i feel very satisfied already, and imo this can be the final version, but i noticed there are a lot of bug reports out there, so it wouldnt surprise me if there would be a next version.

Re: 227 real final
couldn't say it better.
But for the bugs- most things which are currently addressed as bugs- well...
On a scale between 1 and 10 most of these things are between 0.1 and 0.2.
Take 226 for example- script warnings, replications bugs, not working things- the list is really long. We fixed so many things in 227, I really think we have the most bugfree version ever. Whats called "bugs" here are compared against 226 bugs maybe "glitch" at best.
Of course we want to catch everything but it really seems we are more and more reaching from the 1/10 into the 1/100 into 1/1000 if you know what I mean.
Script warnings for example - in 226 (and all other versions too) regular fact - are in 227 suddenly bugs.
Except some Linux problems which cause me some headache still, there is not much to do at the moment (yet) - so its still necessary to wait some time and to collect more reports until a "real final" can be made.

Sometimes you have to lose a fight to win the war.
