OldUnreal (Engine)

Ok, I saw that KillerSkaarj has done an awesome Unreal playthrough, so I thought "Why can't I?" The only difference being, is that mine is done on UT2K4 with the Unreal1Game mod (Well Played Dots!) and the videos are in shiny HD.

I have also added a new playlist for the DareDevilRun mod.

This has also given me the opportunity to actually complete the Unreal campaign, seeing as though I have never finished it before
I don't voice any of this, because I feel the video looses the "Unreal Atmosphere"

By the way, I have a mutator for UT2004 Unreal that lets you use UT2004 weapons and armor instead of Unreal ones I could send it to you if you want.

From what I know, mutators can't be used with the Unreal 1 game mod. I tried to use UT classic weapons and it didn't work. You can send me it anyway and I'll try, thanks.

This is a mod for Unreal Tournament 2004. I'd have to add more lines than that, and change the map name, because the maps in the Unreal 1 in UT2K4 mod are the beta Unreal maps for some reason.

Also, I dont know the name of the UT weapons mod for UT2K4, so I'd have to pilfer through my system folder to find that too.

Though, Vortex Rikers seems to be completely refitted whereas Nyleve's Falls seems to be pretty much the same, apart from the Warlord doing whatever to that dead guy (which was mentioned in the story of Unreal but never put into the game I believe?).

And yea, do you mind telling me what you used to get such smooth quality a video with sound and everything? I use HyperCam 2 but it can't even record me playing Unreal that good and my computer is very decent.

It'd be nice to know the program and settings you use for it so I can make videos of my own =)

Yeah, I didn't know about that Warlord thing until I opened up Unreal's Nyleve's Falls, and saw the alarm points (without the Warlord) in the exact same place.

To get good quality, I have all the graphics settings on high (Or highest where applicable) and I use Fraps to record. To get the video in HD for Youtube, you have to import the movie into movie maker and publih the movie. When it asks you to choose the settings for your movie, click "More Settings", then select "Windows Media HD 720P (PAL) (5.9Mbps)

To make mutators, cheats and open commands work, you have to do this:

-Edit User.ini
-Find line "[CoooPG.CoopMapListHandler]"
-Change/Add to this part:

[CoooPG.CoopMapListHandler]
MapListMasks[0]=1048575
MapListMasks[1]=1048575
MapListMasks[2]=1048575

Just noticed, why were all of the videos suddenly deleted?

Because obviously YouTube decided to get the Shock W***e award in real life.

When I click the YouTube link, it says that the account is cancelled.

My account got deleted by Youtube because a video I uploaded a year ago breaks the copyright agreement (Although I can see many of the same video uploaded by others...)

YouTube is a bunch of cowards. They're even changing the website to make it easier to locate copyright infringing videos. They're like DRM on crack. If they even THINK you're violating copyright, say goodbye to your videos.

Ok, I have re-done my new channel, and started to film the UT2K4 videos again. I have also started the DareDevil Run playthrough (Created by KillerSkaarj)

I will probably be uploading 1 video of each gametype a day. The DareDevil Run is a bit harder that what I first thought

In Super Mario Galaxy, you had to fight a rock-throwing boss during the DareDevil Run. I assure you, this is a cakewalk compared to that! XD
