I really love what the S3TC hi res textures did to enhance the original Unreal but it did nothing for the creatures, trees, etc. It's been quite a while since I've played Unreal but I swear back in the day there was a mod of sorts that upgraded all that. The trees in-game were replaced with much more realistic looking ones as well as monster textures etc etc. Unfortunately I just can't find this stuff anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Basically I want to play Unreal but have it look as good as possible and with any graphical enhancements available. With the computer I have now I have almost unlimited power to put to good use playing this classic gem. ;)
Any chance I can get all this to work with ut2004? If not I also own the original UT and or unreal gold to play it all on.

The S3TC textures were included with UT and converted to work with Unreal (amarite?) Regardless of your computing power, the S3TC textures with OpenGL is your best shot at attaining the graphical peak in Unreal. (Methinks)
As for UT2K4...I don't know
I don't play it enough to know things like that about it.

Re: Unreal graphic upgrades question.
It's been so long that my memory is a little fuzzy on the game. I remember so many mods and prefabs, textures etc for unreal. I can't remember which ones were single player or if they were total conversion mods. sigh.. I guess S3TC is as good as it gets. Poor game could use a facelift.

There's also bumpmap texture support floating somewhere around here. And you can also find bloom support somewhere too.
And no, S3TC textures that were converted to Unreal from UT are NOT good to use - it causes the skating bots glitch and overall they are a lot worse than the remakes at http://unrealtexture.com/
