It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

If they had ditched Unreal, they wouldn't have released the Titan Pack and Patch 2.0 for UT3 back in March. And the fact that they're already working on a Patch 2.1 should be enough. They're working on GOW bonus material alongside the Unreal updates too, so I don't see them ditching Unreal for GOW at all.

Well, I guess the Flak wasn't included because there already are more weapons in Unreal II than in any other Unreal game to date. Besides, the Curse of Unreal II, time limit.
And no, Epic are doing a surprisingly good job at understanding our needs. One of their developers recently said in an interview that they are not planning to abandon the Unreal franchise by any means yet. And they're also working on an unreleased title, who knows, maybe it's Unreal III. Anyway each forums I visit always have the Unreal III discussion from time to time, and the conclusion is always that Unreal III would be cool, so Epic just can't ignore this.
And if UT3's storyline would have been used for a SP game, it would have been nice. Too bad it wasn't, but I believe Epic learnt their lesson.

Srsly guys, think about it, old Unreal will always be old Unreal and it will always be the best, even if they make Unreal MCCCXXXVII (Unreal 1337).

Btw as for this post, it might be beacuse of the other missionpack they were developing which was cancelled, I know for sure they did (the RtNP was replacement after GT interactive died etc) and got the info of one of the former Unreal designers.I was reading through some old release notes from Unreal 220, and stumbled across this section...
Coop games
* Listen server player weapons travel from level to level.
* Fixed weird movement problem in open areas on fast machines during coop play.
* Translocator works properly in coop play, and everyone gets one.
That does say translocator, right? :-?
They brought back some beta weapons in there I think too, so translocator might have been used in some map, so this feature is maybe for the missionpack (see in ut3 titan pack the patch included things fixing that stuff too), but it can as well as be typo.
