any volunteers?

some ppl might know that i love command and conquer generals.. for those who have played it, u might enjoy this :P

i've been working on this weapon which i call the RaptorGun.. it pretty much turns the player into the F-22 raptor jet. it allows u to fly, lock targets and fire off those gorgeous missiles :P
i tried to make it as pretty as possible. i'm one of those detail freaks so if u have a cool idea let me know :P

here are some screenies so u can see what it looks like..

Image

Image
the pick-up

Image
'thrusters' allow u to increase your airspeed from regular 300 (normal ground speed is 320) to around 1400

Image
alt fire lets u 'target' a location or enemy. this is what it looks like.. a red pulsing light with sparks coming off :P

Image
the missiles automaticaly go for your target..

ok so what i really need is maybe one or two ppl who every now and then are willing to help me out with testing.. mainly testing. ideas would be cool too, but testing is my main issue. i want to see what ppl think, what i should change, ya di da di da etc etc etc.

if u want to help out, add me on msn: therolandvl "AT" hotmail "DOT" com

a while ago, someone also suggested re-making the actual raptor mesh model from command and conquer generals.. if anybody would like to do something like this, tell me :P

i've also been thinking of making a ComancheGun (helicopter), but the RaptorGun is almost finished, around 80%? so i'll finish the raptorgun first and then move onto the comanche gun if i feel like it :P

and i want to give a big special thanks for dots for helping me with all my programming questions. thank you very much :)

I'd help test it, but I'm at work with my parents on a computer that doesn't have Unreal Gold on it. I can, however, model the raptor for you if you could provide an image of it besides the one in the second screenshot (preferably of at least two angles: Top and side) Change of plans, Vista's being a baby and made Milkshape think that its 30 day trial expired when I jsut downloaded and installed it several minutes ago. Therefore, I had to throw away my WIP because there would be no way to export it. I'll do it when I get home, though.

Not saying you shouldn't do it.. go right ahead.. but I'm just saying that I think there's already something like that, UnrealApache or something like that. Of course, that doesnt stop you from doing one (and the cockpit isnt that great on UnrealApache) so I'd like to see how you'd make one.

i checked it out and i'm kinda impressed.. maybe i could add in a radar feature for the raptorgun as well.. ill see. anyway that mod is for UT. i have to agree it's really good. i had a little trouble flying tho cuz the apache is like... the size of a titan. my version would be normal human size or maybe a bit smaller. anyway thx for the heads up :)

There's a version for the original Unreal, too.. I just don't know if anyone hosts it for download.

No problem, by the way.
