OldUnreal (Engine)

Now, I estimate that 80% of you said "oh ffs" when you saw this thread.

But seeing KillerSkaarj's and Gizzy's playthroughs, I felt like making one.

This one will be slightly different in that there will be no commentary (opposite to KillerSkaarj's playthrough) so all you will hear are the sounds and music from the game. This will be played via unpatched UnrealGold on Medium difficulty and will be played without the help of any mods or cheats. I will also run through all of the level instead of speed-running through it. However, translator messages will be skipped for the simple reason that I doubt you will see them in the video when it is compressed AND it will take up way too much time (seeing as you can only have 10-minute long videos on YouTube)

Sure, you can say once or twice is enough. But I feel that a game that's been played by most of us for 10 straight years and still going strong deserves to be renowned on the internet more than just here on oldUnreal.

Anyway, would be nice if people would go on making Let's Play Unreal II instead. By the way, I'm making a Let's Play Might and Magic: The Secret of the Inner Sanctum, but I don't have time to continue due to my Unreal II weapons mod for UT2004...

I would if my Unreal 2 didn't have the risk of occasionally freezing... unless maybe I turn down the graphic settings, but I don't wanna lol

I could do Unreal II, but first I'd like to do Unreal and RtNP first then we'll see how it goes.

I'd do U2, but my GeForce 6200 is partially fried. I was playing through U2 and it suddenly froze and locked the entire computer up. I blame UT3.

Fraps can let you record sound, get that.

Cool, I copied Unreal and UEd, along with all the files from one of my laptops to another one (Lenovo S10e). It doesn't matter that my monitor is 10,1" but Unreal works perfectly fine. So does the editor. I could record something too...

My laptop is 4 days old.

I intentionally bought a small laptop so it fits in my school bag.

Half-notice that after some delay, I managed to get the videos up for Rrajigar Mine, Depths of Rrajigar, and Sacred Passage.

Be sure to have backups on your hard drive after you upload them anywhere. And you could also burn it on an optical drive (CD/DVD/Blu-ray DVD/anything) like I did with my old movie (CD got lost...w/e).

Nah, I don't have the harddrive space for it.. I've deleted them.

KillerSkaarj never got his videos banned, and there have been many other playthrough vids of many other games and no one has deleted them or banned the users. There's even other playthroughs of Unreal.

I trust Youtube not to delete them, since that's the case. If I'm wrong then I'll just do the playthrough again and upload somewhere else.
