I'll update you guys here on this thread if I make any progress.

Oh CRAP. Thanks for reminding me. I had three other parts sitting on my hard drive and I forgot to save them as movie files to upload. I'll go do that now. Expect to see the parts on Youtube within 2 hours. (providing the processing doesn't take too long)

By the way, guys. I forgot to tell you but I actually received the video card in the mail. The website I ordered from said the estimated arrival date was Dec. 23rd. "Estimated" nothing! It arrived exactly on Dec 23rd at 8:00 AM. I suggest you shop at Geeks.com for you computer tech needs, one order and I'm already impressed with them.

About the card, It's, as I've said in the LP, an Nvidia 6200 with TurboCache (dunno what "turbocache" does, but it sounds important XD). Unreal 2 and UT2K4 run PERFECTLY on highest settings. I actually squee'd with glee when I heard the announcer yell "HOLY SH*T!" on UT2K4. The unexpected (read: totally freaking awesome ) side effect was that it brought my System RAM up from 504 MB to 512 MB, meaning I am able to play UT3 (on really low settings) AND Spore (on normal settings, I guess). I guess the integrated chipset I had was hogging the other 8 MB and the video card overrode it, thus bringing it up.

Anyway, as soon as the Unreal 1 LP is done, I'm gonna do the Unreal 2 LP! :D And maybe RTNP after that, I dunno. And if Unreal 3 is ever announced and released, you can bet I'll LP that too.
Unreal II FTW!!! :D
Don't forget to install Unreal II eXpanded MultiPlayer!

Actually, I don't really find XMP that fun. Then again, that may be because I was playing UTXMP and I didn't know wtf to do.

I don't even have U2XMP. :( Should I get it?

P.S. I like U2.

U2XMP has a tutorial. And also there are some videos floating around YouTube that guides you through the basics of the game. Shortly put, XMP is VCTF with some extra things.
And yes, you should get it as it's really fun and strategic! :)

It's OK. I once thought that myself. I think it's on this very website.

I will. I really love doing this because it gives me an incentive to actually play through the entire game alone. Speaking of which, we're almost at the end of the game.

Y'know, I think I'mma start on the next parts. Like, right now. Except for the fact that I FORGOT TO SAVE AFTER I FINISHED DEMON CRATER T_T So now I'm back at the beginning of Serpent Canyon *cries*.

Oh well, a little "switchcooplevel" magic and we'll be back at the Mothership :D

Oh, I can understand your agony. Little accidents like this can kill you at times  :'( . "Serpent Canyon"? I dunno, I allways forget the names of the levels  :-[ . Oh, by the way, maybe you overlooked or missed a secret (armour) somewhere at the beginning of the ... mine-level (Skaarj-mines?). If you're interested, I could scrape up all of my English and try to explain it!

Btw you have to do something with the volume; with every "TIME WARP!!!" both my eardrum and my speakers are close to quit their service  ;D .

Yes, I know I missed some armor at the beginning of the mines. It just didn't occur to me to retrieve it at the time.

Oh and I'll see what I can do with the "Timewarp". I might just add a sound effect instead. Unfortunately, I used the Timewarp at the beginning of Part 27 and it's already done being saved to a .WMV, and saving 10 minute video files takes a long time in WMM, so you'll just have to endure one more once I upload it, if that's not too much trouble. It happens at 15 seconds into the video, so turn your volume down until then. I was hoping to save the "Timewarp 2.0" until Unreal 2 (get it? Timewarp 2, Unreal 2? Hurrrr) or at least until the mission pack, but I guess I can come up with a "Timewarp 3.0" until then ;D

;D yeah, TIMEWARP 2.0, I got it lmao! What's it gonna be? A soft female voice, nicely singing "tiiime waaaarp!" or something like a hockey match jingle "tadadadatadaaah!" ...? :D

Have you already made a decision which Unreal-playthru you're gonna do next? RTNP or U2? Like I said earlier, I couldn't play U2 yet since my video card doesn't have the balls to cope with it ... so to speak. So RTNP would be nice.

I just watched the first video. And my name on Youtube is gyiyg996, and my channel icon is virtually the same as my current OldUnreal avatar.

I hope I don't get bashed for wanting to do MY OWN playthough, but as a Black Ops space marine.

Yes, I was going to do RTNP next, because it wouldn't make much sense if I did U2 first, then went back to RTNP.

Oh, and I was thinking of either making the Timewarp 2.0 the TV Test thing I always do after I die, or putting in one of the Unreal respawn sounds. Or possibly using the sound that happens when you unlock something in the Legend of Zelda games :D

And Gyiyg, I look forward to seeing you play through Unreal on, er, Unreal difficulty.

EDIT: Currently uploading parts 27, 28, and 29. The best thing about these parts is that we've almost finished the game, and in fact part 30 will be the last one, with us fighting the Queen! Oh, and it'll include the whole ending cutscene as well.

Yes, the Zelda thing sounds great or maybe the equivalent from Metroid Prime  :D . This kind of "I acquired something awesome" success fanfare would fit perfectly! - f****, I bet everyone's considering me a 13 year old.

@ Gyiyg: Don't hesitate! There can never be enough UNREAL in the www!

I do my own playthough using my OWN custom player, with custom inventory.

And I never use any other difficulty other than "Unreal", because it's awesome that way.

What's up with difficulty 255? :P

Try Difficulty MaxInt, or actually I bet Difficulty 255 hard-freeze's Unreal because it extends ALL ScriptedPawn's sight range beyond reasonable values.

Anyways, whenever I feel stable enough, and whenever I decide to finish creating my "Demon's Bane" sword, I guess I'll do a speedrun.
