My Game runs so good at the moment, I'm hesitant to install the new nvidia drivers yet.
They are bad about releasing and removing them and later rereleasing them because of issues they missed the first go round.

178.24_geforce_winvista_64bit_english_whql still has OpenGL issues with Unreal 227. Fortunately D3D9 works like a charm here.

Do you recommend me to install the new drivers or stay at 97.51?

178.24 is generally recommended, it's Nvidia's next gen driver with support for CUDA and PhysX on GeForce 8 or newer cards. Generally these drivers will yield better performance in heavy DX10 rendering, Like in 3DMark Vantage.

Hey, these drivers actually seem to boost UT3 performace (15%)! Now I get 25FPS on 3/4 resolution with world detail 2! After disabling that bloom I should get even more!

That is nice. Did you tweak the setting in your grafix card's control panel or you don't have one?

Update:
ATI complied it for Linux now too. Not yet on the repositories though, and I still won't get it until the timer in my sig expires :D

While there isn't much that's exciting with the Catalyst 8.11 Linux driver release, to download the x86/x86_64 binary driver head on over to their Linux download page.

Not for Linux yet. Guess it will be released once my counter in the sig is up :D
EDIT: Aha! Planet Unreal says this:
ATI Catalyst 8.12 is out, and includes a whole host of performance improvements for a variety of games, including Grand Theft Auto IV, Prince of Persia and Unreal Tournament 3 on ATI Radeon graphics cards.

Unreal Tournament 3 DX9 – Performance gains of up to 18% for Single card mode and up to 15% in Crossfire mode, especially in cases where AA is enabled. Performance gains were noticed on all Radeon HD4xxx and HD38xx.

Radeon riders can click here for Windows XP/Vista 32/64-bit download links.
