It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Unreal anthology and 227 compatibile?
I have unreal gold that came with unreal anthology boxset. I can install it and play it offline without problems, but when i try to connect online it sais version missmatch. And when i download the netfix, the server browser is not showing up.
Any ideas?

The current beta's of 227 are usable on Anthology Gold but you will lose the Return to NaPali features, so that's not really recommended.
Smirftsch already announced that 227 WILL support Unreal Gold but we are still waiting on the release.
For now: get the Anthology patch at:

227 can be applied to anthology, you will have new renderers and sounddrivers. It has decals and tons of new other features like blood and many mostly unused things yet (http://www.oldunreal.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1202460562) - mappers and modders need to build em in first.
227 can be used for online play and is compatible with most servers (except 225 servers with old anticheat protections which will kick you because it assumes 227 is a cheat). But you can play on all other servers including 227 servers. (Exception 227f beta testservers which are only compatible against 227f and 225/UGold but this is temporary until 227f is out).
Currently the disadvantage is - as mentioned already - you will lost Return to Napali and its extensions. But thats a lil loss if you intend to play online, because most servers do not use RTNP for online playing.

Or install Unreal twice and then put 227 on one install and the other one leave without 227, and use patched version for online play and non-patched for offline RTNP playing.

As they said you can use 227 there, but you loose return to na pali, but you could keep a seperate install purely for that if you wish

Heh i got it working, thanks for offering solutions. I made an mistake by installing first multimedia patch and then 227.(multimedia patch is not needed), so i can now play online and use s3tc textures 
However i would ask about s3tc textures, i downloaded 4 master files(dating from 2007 year) from celticks warior website.
Are those 4 packages the latest, or there are more of them?

My turn to clear up a few things ;)
The netfix offered in the [url=http://www.celticwarriors.net/Downloads/Patches/GamePatches/AnthologyUnrealGoldPatchV1.0.exe]AnthologyUnrealGoldPatchV1.0.exe[/url] contains 2 crucial files to make sure you can play online. When running that patch it will simply replace UnrealShare.u and UnrealI.u for versions that were released with the original UnrealGold (1999 ? ).
Other than fixing the compatability, it has no effect or whatsoever on gaming or net functionallity.
When i created the patch i though i also make an installer that has the netfix and the(backthan) latest OMP patch in oné go, so people using the S3TC textures only had to run oné patch to make everything work

- Instal patch 227E to get the latest renderers for video and sound and decals(as said you will loose RTNP for the moment)
If you want to keep RTNP and no decals
- Instal Anthology Unreal Gold
- Run MultiInstallerNetPatchV1.0_OMPV0.2.exe to fix the net problem and getting the (older)renderers for sound and video. You keep RTNP but you still can use the S3TC textures.

Yeah i know, but have not been to well enough to be able to attend that. And i dont know how Wiki functions, so i am reluctant to go make changes. I need to be able to concentrate much more than i can now in order to find out how exactly it functions and not make a stupid unreparable error....

But as the changelog says the patch is now also an UMOD fixer, which is quite useful to install anyway.
And it's impossible to make unrepairable errors ans everything can be reverted in a few clicks
