I found out why UT3 keeps crashing on level load. Now the problem is, how do I fix it!?

I'm still assuming you whined without making sure you had the proper hardware.

*sigh* I downloaded the demo, found out it worked, good enough for me. Bought the full game, found out the full game had different plans. Yes, I visited that website already. Now can you please answer my question?

Yes, yes, the filename is not found. Now how do I stop it from doing that?

it very much looks like there is no real solution for that.
Could be one of these things:
Non functional or f*cked DirectX - try re-install
Non functional or f*cked video card drivers - try other versions
Your hardware (graphics card) doesn't support the required functions - only other card would help.
Other than that only using a different renderer than d3d should help (while having no clue atm what other renderers ut3 does have/support)....

A corrupted CD, perhaps?
Try someone other's files.

Actually, I reverted my card's drivers back to 178.25 because of crashing. It was fixed for a day and then it stopped working. Maybe I should reupdate? Oh, and yes, my card supports all the required functions for UT3 to run. Maybe I'll see if I can switch to another renderer. I doubt I can though, because I'm PRETTY sure UT3 uses only D3D9
Oh, and Jackrabbit, no offense, but as much as I want Dead Space, I didn't ask you which game was better. I came here for help. So stfu.

Yep, that's the most annoying thing out there. Now is working, now is not, and you don't know the source of the problem.
I think you should reupdate and see what happens.
BTW, are there any known compatibility issues between UT3 and your other hardware, i.e. RAM or CPU? Or a software bug (I mean OS bug)?
On my old windows, I couldn't run WoT out of safe mode, but on the new windows installation (both WinXP, only the CD is different), it works perfectly.
Bizarre.

I upgraded my RAM to meet the recommended, and my Processor is roughly that of a Pentium 4 single core.
Maybe I should reupdate. If that fails, I will try reinstalling the game.

Okay, I updated my drivers, and it's still crashing. For some reason, it can't find the "addresses" (AKA anything that looks like "0x1168661") and just crashes.
Why can't it find these things? How come this doesn't happen with anything else?

thats likely a hex address, have you thought maybe you have a bad stick of ram ?

I just installed a new one. Should I remove the old one then?

The idea is to replace the bad one with a good one
If you have a floppy disk drive (something that tends to dissapear from computers), run a memtest : http://www.memtest.org/
Let it go for 2 or 3 passes (which may be VERY LONG), and see if it finds errors.

You know what!? FORGET IT. I was an idiot to think I could run it on this piece of sh!t. I really wanted to play this game but I couldn't. Thanks for your "help" guys. I really appreciate it...
I should've gotten Spore instead. Maybe then I would have a game I could play.
Oh, and HellKeeper, I don't have a floppy disk drive. Yay for more BULLSH!T. I should just buy a new computer if I want to play UT3. (You see what I do to play a single game?)
THANK YOU EPIC FOR ALIENATING HALF YOUR FANBASE. NEXT TIME, TRY RELEASING A GAME THAT MOST PEOPLE CAN PLAY WITHOUT SPENDING A TON OF MONEY UPGRADING THEIR COMPUTERS.
The only reason I BOUGHT this second memory stick was to play UT3. AND NOW I CAN'T. MORE MONEY WASTED. YIP YIP F*CKING HOORAY.
*sigh* I'm gonna go play Quake 4 (the demo only. My friend had two copies and lent me the one WITHOUT A MANUAL. So now I have another game that I can't play BECAUSE I HAVE NO CD KEY FOR IT. I LOVE EVERYTHING.)

You can find Keygens for that, easy to find. Don't think you can go online with it, but at least you can install the game and play it, download the latest patch, etc.

Wait, we're discussing warez, aren't we?
OHSHI-
EDIT: No... the game didn't even install... I tried installing it, but on the VERY LAST FILE... THE EXACT LAST FILE... AN ERROR POPPED UP.
WHY CAN'T I PLAY ANY COMPUTER GAMES ON THIS GODFORSAKEN CHUNK OF METAL AND PLASTIC OTHER THAN UNREAL!?!?!?!??!?!!
Someone is messing with me. I know it. Someone is having too much fun with me this past month.

How did the MemTest run? (see Hellkeeper's message)

I don't think Epic is to blame for that as it's how most gaming companies work. Well not every company of course, (Valve doesn't do that), but EPic, id, Crytex etc... That's a marketing choice (However, the game is crap, so you can still blame epic :'p)
And about the game : try finding a floppy drive, or try to use the .iso one from a CD, not only for the game but also because your computer may be slowly dying on your hand (if that's a corrupted ram, it's kinda dangerous and you'd better get the sick out).

Yep, when a broken RAM module was in my PC, I ended up having WINDOWS, GINDOWS and WINDNWS folders with CatRoot2, CatBoot2 and CatRootM folders inside system32, rystem32 and systdm32. Cool, eh?

Lol, System Team Deathmatch #32!
I'm having boot problems too... Yes, too bad there are no floppy drives now, and USB boot is not as advanced yet...

Hold on, so you're saying that if I remove the bad RAM module, the game will work?

It could work, but it could fail as well.

Aww... bummer. Well, this computer is about 2-3 years old. Do you think that's enough time for a RAM module to go bad?
