Could you also add the netfix to the patch ?

If you are able to create a delta fix for that, than the patch wont grow that much in size. I mean the patch is a fix, why not also add that.

Backthan i made a patch for the netproblem, but i wouldnt mind at all if someone creates a much better version of that patch. If you are able to make a delta patch than it should only grow with a few Kb (the d a m n logo i asume wont be much more that a few KB).

If needed i can provide both files, the correct one and the UA one.

yeah, people are probably going to look for the patch that will "let them connect to a server". It looks like this patch does not resolve this issue, but it should...

Well, that's simply not the way to write that kind of posts... It's quite in a forum no-one would ever read, and it's not related to it. I know that there's nowhere else you could post, but still. It's better to personally PM or mail someone from Epic staff. Also, the language is really not something that is worth considering... All the exclamation marks and caps. Doesn't look polite, no wonder they locked the topic. Of course, when PMing you automatically get more polite, but still, when talking about stuff like that you neeed to be polite as possible.

Read the post from Daniel backthan, and i read it again today and i am totally behind him. As far as i am concerned he made a good and solid post.

The plain fact is, from buyers point of view you buy a game that has single play but also multi play. If however people buying that game regardless if they already knew the game or not(were after all 9 years later) players cannot play online while it says so plain on the box !

If this would have been a brandnew game and people would find out theres no way to play the multiplayer part, any company would do its outmost best to release a patch staff to solve the problem.

Backthan when Midway released the Anthology boxset, they were contacted in person by us, and the replys we got were to absurd for words. Up to this day people that own the Anthology set cannot play online, if it wasnt for the community to release a patch that should have been released by either Epic or Midway.

And one would think they at least wont go repeat that, but they did apearently, which is a bad thing. If you sell games its your responsibility to make sure the game functions as it should be and live up to the promise what it says on the cover. Simple as that! They sell a car that cant drive.........

On top of that, if they would have had a problem with it, they should have locked the post from start, now its just a kick in Daniels back, thats all. While he always has supported Unreal wherever he could and is running servers and websites for years.

I can asure you, locking Daniels post is alot, alot, and alot more rude than the plea Daniel made.

Locking just to lock is not good from their part, but still. It would be better to request for an answer about why they locked the topic, and repeat the post nicely. If not, you won't even know who locked it and why. What if it was a mistake?
