It's been quite a while since oldunreal had an overhaul, but we are moving to another server which require some updates and changes. The biggest change is the migration of our old reliable YaBB forum to phpBB. This system expects you to login with your username and old password known from YaBB.
If you experience any problems there is also the usual "password forgotten" function. Don't forget to clear your browser cache!

Server restarter/unfreezer tool?
Is there any tools which restarts the server if it crashes and if the server freezes, the tool terminates the process and restarts the server?
I've been using my own command-line based tool which can restart the server but my tool doesn't regonize if the server freezes.
A tool for Unreal or a global game server tool.

Re: Server restarter/unfreezer tool?
it's kind of lame how it checks for freezing since sometimes it gives false positives.. but its a windowez function
http://www.klankaos.com/process%20manager.exe
I coded it because I was bored, no manual or anything though. It may toss some strange errors at you if you do something really stupid, but for the most part its fine
iirc you need .net framework 1.1 or 2.0
edit: if you dont want the log to timestamp don't even list the filepath for it, and don't check the box

Re: Server restarter/unfreezer tool?
Thank you, I tried that but I need little more. If you can code little, please do next:
1. "Start in tray" setting
2. Saves "Restart on crash" checkbox setting and "Freeze Timeout" setting (not saving = bug?)
3. A setting which lets to change the priority of the process (Low, Normal, High, Realtime)
4. If the server crashes, the tool makes a copy of server's logfile to somewhere I want, and it renames copied logfile to something I want, and the tool adds date and time to the copied logfile
Otherwise it's fine tool. I hope you have time to figure those out.

VB.net in vs 2003, theres some windows process creating/checking functions I used, which is why the process freeze check sucks. Its the same one that they use on the task manager i believe

You could try sending windows message to process and check 4 response. Whatever.

You can always disassemble .NET programs:Don't have the source anymore, that was just a backup on my ftp, when my old computer gets returned to me I can update it.. whenever that is. Wish i knew..

You (and everyone else) can get all your code with that
