newer versian of unreal?

i have patch 226f. and when i go to a server it says "you need a newer version of unreal to play on this server." if i download patch 227 will i be able to play online on the servers???????

Small addition: A few servers are running 227f ( to test for stability, compatibility and other issues). If you want to join such a server you can only use Unreal Gold or 225 at the moment. When 227f is released you can also join these servers with 227.

Good point as I tried to join HLK's 227f server with 227e and it gives a gpf.

the nametable is misaligned so you get an invalid actor channel and boom.. gpf

So, 227f servers are now, and always will be, available to 227e only?

227f can only connect to 227f, 225, 226b{gold} and 224 servers
227e is the same except replace F with E.. and so on with D and C..

We don't backwards conform to previous versions for the same reason why 226b and 226f don't work..

Though it DOES work, it will just create a much higher possibility of something breaking
