Make a batch file.

I don't need a batch file, I can use a simple unreal.exe shortcut to execute a dedicated server startup, I only use batch files for server restart on crashes.

Well I realized it was ?multihome=

However i'm trying to use a hostname such as Name.Gameserver.com, it will not allow me to do this via command line. I'm trying to bypass my router using a dynamic DNS and I can't do it unless I'm allowed to use a multihome like this.

Code: Select all

Log: UdpServerQuery vortex2.UdpServerQuery0 (Function IpServer.UdpServerQuery.PreBeginPlay:002E) Invalid multihome IP address 1337game.servegame.com
UdpServerQuery: Bound to port 7778.
UdpServerUplink: DoUplink is not set.  Not connecting to GameSpy.
UdpServerUplink: DoUplink is not set.  Not connecting to GameSpy.
UdpServerUplink: DoUplink is not set.  Not connecting to GameSpy.
Log: UdpBeacon vortex2.UdpBeacon0 (Function IpDrv.UdpBeacon.BeginPlay:000E) Invalid multihome IP address 1337game.servegame.com
Log: UdpBeacon vortex2.UdpBeacon0 (Function IpDrv.UdpBeacon.BeginPlay:000E) BindPort: bind failed
ScriptLog: ServerBeacon failed: Could not bind port 7775
ScriptLog: Broadcasting Beacon
Log: UdpBeacon vortex2.UdpBeacon0 (Function IpDrv.UdpBeacon.BroadcastBeacon:0096) SentText: sendto failed
Init: Game engine initialized
Log: Startup time: 0.593000 seconds
WebServer: Initilizing WebAdmin for current map
Log: WebServer vortex2.WebServer0 (Function UWebAdmin.WebServer.InitilizeLink:000F) Invalid multihome IP address 1337game.servegame.com
>
EDIT: No idea what I did, but now it's saying failed to bind to port 7777 and crashing.

EDIT: So with www. infront is causes the 7777 bind port error & crash, but without the www it will not connect to that multihome and not show in serverlist.

you need an IP, its not designed for resolving im sure, you could use a custom udp/tcp link to fix that though somehow using Resolve

Use the ip 71.48.17.19 since thats what the dns resolves to

Oh.... are you trying to access that from anywhere? if you have the DNS working, open 1337game.servegame.com should connect.

Yea I have it connecting fine, but it won't show in the server list.

you probably don't need the multihome thing then unless you have 2 IPs

I think it was because I didn't have the correct UDP ports as UDP and instead TCP =)
