BTW, I think somebody should make a 227f demo level that shows all new features, etc.

I've done fire effect just for test. I can send you once 227f is out (so I can use all new emitter features). Here's sshot I made just to show what's possible:

Fix ? A feature is nothing "to fix". What do you mean with Skew tool anyway?

Been hearing that, but what exactly was it? was it the cheat detector not being updated? or..
INF servers are almost all empty now, apparently. This is being blamed on the fact that some people are really pushing to have 227 running on all INF servers and restrict them to only 227 clients, but some clients can't get it to work properly, and instead of going to the servers that either aren't 227 or still allow older clients, or asking any of the people who are offering to help make 227 work for other people, they just quit playing.
The lack of players is, of course, entirely the fault of 227, and has nothing to do with the constant accusations of hacking (LOL I WONDER WHY YOU PEOPLE WON'T UPGRADE?! CAUSE YOUR BOTS WON'T WORK? LOL), frequent bickering between server admins, abuse of clients/password theft while in someone else's server, and of course the age of the game and the fact that the players do, in fact, have lives outside of unreal.
Just ignore him.

I have to agree with you there Bane. 227 did not kill inf. It makes sense to me the cheats did this, and I also wonder why people don't ask for help to get things working. I was on an inf server the other night and left the players know they are surely welcome to get help here.

the argument that 227 killed inf is indeed a bit sad- the server admins were forced to update to 227 because every game someone complained about hacks, bots etc. Now that 227 is able to prevent any of those and the servers are set up accordingly its suddenly 227- question is WHY? There are tons of docs, the forums here, the wiki- and 227 is surely not harder to install than any previous patch. Indeed no one forces the player to use any specific 227 feature, it can be set up (including sound, video etc) like 225. There are no disadvantages.
Still I got many ICQ requests or mails about people asking me the same stupid questions again and again- all explained in the docs or the wiki/FAQ. The people were just to f*cking lazy to read.
Instead of complaining 227 killed Inf maybe its time for the community to fight for it, to make Inf what it was- now cheatfree damnit! Its so easy to solve almost every problem people experience around just by RTFM! - Whats up with you? Is it asked to much to do the same you did when Epic made the patches? Did you become to lazy to install a patch and read a few lines? WHATS UP? Damnit, wake up.
I'm doing all this for the game, for the community.
Its not understandable why people refuse to spend a few minutes to make it run or to report a bug if there is really one. I spent months of work- not only a few freakin minutes. Yeah, complain, but don't do anything for it - or for the game or the community, just complain.

but da severe lag/warp caused by 227, 225 servers were always bad but not as bad
cant blame my wireless dis time if i hook my $hit up 2 da dsl modem

i got 227 setup correctly
jus bout every1 from inf agrees 227 completely fukt up inf
dats y no1 really play no mo,
even unreal soldier quit cuz of 227 which dat tell ya sumthin
cuz dat muthafuka wud never quit playin unreal
unreal inf is da only thang i play n enjoy playin n it sux 2 see it go poof
i wish digi n other inf server owners did revert bak 225

yeah, everything is fine until some of you lazy b*tches have to do something for the game. If thats all you can say its probably the best that those people leave. I remember times where the inf community really was a community and tried to help not only to whine because they had to do SOMETHING. Get lost, probably the best you can do.

And smokedham, the speeds show that you did NOT set it up correctly, usually because of INI's bAllowFastDownloads set to false. Or you could even use redirects which speed up downloads by 200%. It seems you're just not listening and that admins are also not listening.

for me the servers I tested are fine and if there is something wrong with the set up so help the people to make it right- and the decals can be turned off, just for the record...

I thought about quitting playing Unreal after just started it cuz it worked like sh*t on older versions but when I saw 227, I've changed my mind instantly.

Sigh. Again? Still are. Sorry, its just to much for me at the moment. I spent months- yes, even years and people are just to freakin lazy to spend a few minutes just to make things run.
