Indeed, I have some problems with ATI drivers as well. It gives some nasty screen corruption with Wine on OpenSUSE, so I guess I'll have to wait for either of these:
- New ATI drivers
- New version of Wine
- New OpenSUSE

Or all at once :) Seems to be quite likely, there already is a new Wine version, new OpenSUSE is going out in 40 days and, well, ATI will release their new drivers sooner or later.

If you didn't have an error before, roll back drivers. ;D

I had it all the time, unfortunately. Well, maybe not on OpenSUSE 10.2, but not sure.

There is surely an alternative.

Yes. There are other drivers: RadeonHD, but it doesn't have 3D acceleration (yet); Mesa 3D, that isn't specifically made for ATI, but could work, yet I have no idea how to compile their code :-? , also "ati" that is for older cards than my one is, and Vesa that only allows 2D graphics. So yeah :-/ ...

Lol in that case, you should either wait for new drivers to be released or make your own. ;D ;D ;D

Lol :)
But good news:
so I guess I'll have to wait for either of these:
- New ATI drivers
- New version of Wine
- New OpenSUSE
- Will be done as soon as OpenSUSE 11.1 is out
- http://www.winehq.org/?announce=1.1.8

Oh yeah 8-) I might get this issue solved after all.

Will there be a time soon when video drivers will be too advanced to run Unreal due to it's old age? Or will 227 fix that?
