So It should be like this:

@echo off
:10
Unreal.exe DmAcademy.unr PORT=7777 LOG=dm.log -timestamplog READINI=unreal.ini -server
goto 10

what does timestamplog do?  Create a new one each time the server is restarted?
Timestamplog adds a timestamp (duh) to the log file's name

Can anyone post full list of command-line parameters?

Why don't you people like running the small comfortable UCC.exe instead of the bulky Unreal.exe? :P Plus, with variables you can put the batch anywhere, like on your Desktop.

Or just make a shortcut instead of a batch file. :P

Hi

I did first try the UCC but never got it running.

I asked about what timestamplog does because until I moved the comand to the list of variables it did nothing.

Now I moved it to the startup variables and I see the logs and the timestamps when the server is restarted. Thanks!

I am up and running so I guess its time to stick a fork in it.

I did find this in my initial search for resources:

http://theadminpage.planetunreal.gamespy.com/UnrealMain.htm

http://unreal.epicgames.com/Console.htm

http://unreal.epicgames.com/ServerTips.htm

Never really did find a good read on unreal 1 server batch file setup.

I built it by your assistance here and looking at ut2004 examples

By the way, what's wrong with Unreal Server Console? It's easier to use it than any batch files anyway.

I don't like to use batch files on WinXP very much, I used that on Win98 when I had it but not anymore...

But, remember, you can configure shortcuts to act very similar as batch files so there is no need to use them all the time. :)

I have a solution for you, and for you all who has a server, which crashes...

http://skw.net23.net/unreal_tools.html -> Server guard

Here is the code:

@echo off

color 0c

title Unreal-server guard v1.0
:start

echo =====================================================================
echo Server start
date /t
time /t

Set CURRDATE=CURRDATE.TMP
Set CURRTIME=CURRTIME.TMP

DATE /T > %CURRDATE%
TIME /T > %CURRTIME%

Set PARSEARG="eol=; tokens=1,2,3,4* delims=/, "
For /F %PARSEARG% %%i in (%CURRDATE%) Do SET YYYYMMDD=%%l%%k%%j

Set PARSEARG="eol=; tokens=1,2,3* delims=:, "
For /F %PARSEARG% %%i in (%CURRTIME%) Do Set HHMM=%%i%%j%%k

copy Unreal.ini Unreal-B.ini

echo.
start /wait /low Unreal.exe nyleve?game=UnrealShare.CoopGame -server

echo *********************************************************************
echo SERVER CRASHED!!!!!!!!
date /t
time /t

Set CURRDATE=CURRDATE.TMP
Set CURRTIME=CURRTIME.TMP

DATE /T > %CURRDATE%
TIME /T > %CURRTIME%

Set PARSEARG="eol=; tokens=1,2,3,4* delims=/, "
For /F %PARSEARG% %%i in (%CURRDATE%) Do SET YYYYMMDD=%%l%%k%%j

Set PARSEARG="eol=; tokens=1,2,3* delims=:, "
For /F %PARSEARG% %%i in (%CURRTIME%) Do Set HHMM=%%i%%j%%k

copy Unreal.log Logs\Crash-%YYYYMMDD%-%HHMM%.log

echo.
echo ---------------------------------------------------------------------
echo Please check Crash-%YYYYMMDD%-%HHMM%.log from Logs-folder
echo ---------------------------------------------------------------------
echo.

goto start

Put to System-folder.

Only thing you need to do is to change that "/low" to "/normal" or "/high". Put your startup commands after "start"-command and you need to create a "Logs"-folder. Please read readme!

No really, what's bad with UnrealServer? It doesn't restart or what?

Here's what I use for coop in a .bat file.
yes a command window does open and yes you can close it and unreal continues to run.
Zombie is correct on the wait time,
If you take a close look at server.doc (application)
you can see the format in it for restart and how to configure the wait time.

C:/unreal/system/unreal.exe/ CamelotCF?Game=JCoopz1?difficulty=3
?mutator=dzmapm.dzmapmutator -server log=server.log
All i do is click the .bat file on my desktop and i'm done.
