This mutator simply adds footprints/sounds for desired textures.

To launch, simply type command:
Open NyLeve?Mutator=FootStepSnds.FootStepSndMut
(you can copy/paste it to the console in game)

This mutator is only BETA and does not cover all of the textures in game.

If used on server, add the package to ServerPackages, BUT it makes the server playable for 227 clients only.

Cool thing :).

EDIT:

Just tested it and it works just fine, but it slows down load time. Anyway good work.

That is indeed very nice. Another package to add to my server as must-have. :)

Actually, using the Mutator menu it is easier to add mutators... :)

Just tried this mutator. Not bad! Yet I was right, the actual sounds are awful (except wood, it sounds awesome!). Being inside VRikers and walking there looks like you're in a middle of a drum concert or something... What about selectable sounds? I mean, what if you could choose the sound template? Those footstep sounds from Unreal II are way more superior than the current ones, plus Epic allows porting content over Unreal franchise games, so why not having that as a selectable option?

And add the support for UMenu Console's Mutator list please!

Also, what about my idea to make this mutator a wiki mutator? That is, everyone can edit it, so it would get more complete without the need of hard work or spending too much time. Then after a while it could be reassembled and released as a new version.

EDIT: By the way, noticed that there are no special landing sounds. Are they supported or you forgot about it?

EDIT#2: Hey, you missing Glass, Plastic and Water sounds! Water is when you're walking in shallow water, though :)

EDIT#3: I've assembled a modified Footsteps.uax that uses Unreal II sounds! Try it out and you'll notice how more pronounced the sounds will be! http://files.filefront.com/Footstepsrar/;12185042;/fileinfo.html
